Hello fellow Scandinavians! :energy:

So obvi I'm a newbie here on VJ and I just wanted to say hi to everyone on the scando thread :)

We're applying for a I-129F which we filed in November (16 Nov NOA1), It's probably going to take a longer time than expected with CSC.

I've been reading up on different topics here, and decided to join today, and try and contribute to the forum and timeline :luv:

Anyone else in the I-129F process?

There are a few parking areas along the street. If you pass the embassy you will have a few more options all within walking distance. If you get there and everything is full just drive down to the hotel villa kallhagen. They have plenty of parking and it doesn't even take 10 to walk from there.

We got parking right outside, which was convenient. It sure does look very imposing, doesn't it?

I'll submit my embassy review later, but they seemed to grill my husband quite a bit for Sweden. He was pretty flustered by the time it was done and hadn't slept in over 24 hours. Oh, and they almost forgot to have him sign DS-230 part II. He was almost ready to leave the window when he saw the note on his hand about needing to sign it. Thanks for the heads up on that Jay.

We are approved pending medical, but they gave us a 221(g) for the medical anyway.

Thank the heavens and everything that is holy. The punishment for forgetting to remind them is one month of torture.

Congrats!

Was he interviewed by the shorter hair blonde lady? She was great, really nice, but seemed to tweak questions out of the "normal" that I see. One of the first questions I was asked was "So what irritates you about your wife?"

Welcome, Cemi! I went through the I-129F process as a Norwegian beneficiary recently (moved to DC late November 2012), so if you have any questions, feel free to ask :)

In other news, I got my EAD/AP last week, and have been getting a few callbacks and interviews from my countless job applications. Fingers crossed I can start working again soon!

That sounds like the lady who took our papers. The man who interviewed my husband was short, white, and maybe in his 50s? He didn't ask any irregular questions, but he did question him for a while and wasn't as friendly as the other staff.

I think Skatteverket will send your deklaration to your new address in America. They will also send information about voting, when that time comes.

I'm not sure what happens if you get money back, but I think that if you still have a Swedish bank account you can have them deposit the money in your account.

So our blood tests came in today and the doctor is mailing them out. I'm getting a little nervous that we might not have our visa in time for the April 16th flight.
