I think when you grow up with leverpostej, you kinda get attached to it, just like most kids in the US are to peanut butter and jelly sandwiches(which is just as awful tasting as lard, IMO. He he).

I agree. I never tried to get my wife to taste leverpastej when she's been here in Sweden, just the way I've tried to describe it makes her think it's revolting. Incidentally, I feel the same way about peanut butter. Eeeeew!

I wonder if the NVC is just having problems with applications going through Stockholm because of ignorance. Just got off the phone with them and they said that my husband's passport and police records were not from Sweden and he has to send in Swedish ones. Ummm, because he's Danish. I had to explain to the operator that Danes have to go through the Swedish embassy and asked for a supervisor review. Let's see how long this takes, going on two months in NVC, this is such BS.

I had the same exact thing happen to me! Except they asked for my Sierra Leone passport and bc in order for me to interview in Sierra Leone. wth.The operator said it was an error and that a supervisor will review it.

Haha my wife never touched leverpostei. I tried to make her one tone and she demanded i translate the ingredients to her first.

I saw your post about that too. It's so ridiculous that their errors cause more delays.

Yes, but this is regarding the Stockholm embassy specific so I thought I have better luck here.

There is no information on the embassy page for Stockholm.

As soon as first package is received:

Those should be the only documents returned to the embassy. You bring the rest with you at the time of interview. Otherwise this is outlined in the instructions you'll receive.

If you PM me your email address, I can send you a copy of checklist and medical instruction in packet 3 from Stockholm embassy.

Update, after having a supervisor review my RFE for missing Siarra Leonean bc ad passport, I now have an RFE for my Swedish passport and bc in order to interview in Sweden. Who works at the NVC nowadays!? Thatʻs another week delay on my case.

Seriously! I just posted this on the August thread. Have you tried talking with a supervisor?

I was finally was able to speak to a supervisor (after repeatedly telling the operator that I've gotten conflicting information from operators and the checklists and that Danish citizens go through Stockholm) to look at our case. The supervisor acknowledged that the Danish passport is what is needed. But since she couldn't actually physically see our file (to see if the expiration date is legible, smudged (according to her sometimes they smudged them when they move papers around), or maybe the passport photocopy had fallen out (again according to her they sometimes fall out when they move papers around, so it's good to put your case number on each page)), and after a few times being put on hold she told me she requested our case files from the reviewing office (which is in another building) to be sent to her. She said she'd get it tomorrow and will look to see why they are asking for the passport (if it's not readable, missing, smudged, etc.) and tell me exactly what's in there. Fingers crossed it's only a clerical mistake and she can get the case moving.

Thank you guys, I received some help

I'm late answering but I thought I might anyway since I just recevied packet 3 a couple a weeks ago. It contains the forms you need to fill in, instructions on how to book your medical and what to bring for the interview. Also a lot of instructions for the affidavit of support, picture taking etc.

You have to mail in the forms:DS-230, DS-156 and DS-156K. You also have to mail them a copy of your biographic page from your passport and the checklist they mail to you in packet 3.

You will need your vaccination record for the medical. I had to get the x-ray and blood test done before my medical and I had to get the persons performing the tests on me to sign a paper and write down my id and bring it to the interview.

For the interview: bring the affidavit of support with supporting documents: notarized tax return, letter from employer, pay stubs, bank statements is optional. Police certificate, two passport photos, birth certificate, proof of ongoing relationship. You should also bring a copy of the NOA2, all original documents and a copy of all the papers from the original petition.

I'm waiting for an interview date, hoping it happens soon!!
