Today, my daughters american passport finally arrived! I've been so nervous we wouldn't get it time! Her swedish passport arrived within 5 days, her american has taken forever! Now we can add her on to the tickets! Alaska here we come!!!!

Is it Ok to take pictures printed on normal paper as evidence to the interview, or do they need to be on real photo paper?

Normal paper is fine.

I'm wondering if it is possible to pick up your passport/visa at the Stockholm embassy a day or two after a successful interview?

Or do they only send it back by mail?

Or do they only send it back by mail?

It will take a little longer than that, about a week or so. But i'm sure you can pick it up at the embassy if you stick around that long.

They are quite easy to get hold of, call Landstingsarkivet! They will send you a copy of your BVC journal etc. It might cost you 50sek depending on how big your journal is.

I was wondering the same thing.. I have picked up prior visas before at the embassy in Oslo within 48 hours. I would probably expect 5 - 7 days though. Or email them lol.

I don't know about Stockholm, but I was able to pick mine up the very next day in Helsinki. Not their standard practice though, at the interview I was told it would be mailed to me, but I had a nice rapport with the lady who interviewed me and received an email the next day that my passport was ready for pickup, I'm assuming it was from her. I had asked her if she thought it would be realistic for me to fly over about a week after my interview, and I think knowing this she sent me an email as soon as my visa was ready to put my mind at ease. I thought it was very cool of them.

Interview done today. Really easy, took about 50 mins in the embassy, most of that time was waiting. They'll mail my visa within a week. They didn't look any of the evidence.
