Sending off my i-751 today, for ROC. Here's our list of proof:

  • Copy of the passport of [beneficiary]
  • Copy of our driver's licenses showing same home address
  • Copy of birth certificate of our daughter
  • Copy of [beneficiary]'s health insurance card showing a joint policy.
  • Copy of utility bills, showing that we reside at the same address
  • Copy of updated life insurance form showing [beneficiary] as the sole beneficiary of [uS spouse]
  • Copy of Bank notice showing us as joint account holders
  • Copy of IRS form 1099-G showing a refund for our jointly filed taxes
  • Partial copy of IRS form 1095-B showing joint health insurance
  • Copy of the I-797 Notice of Action on the Adjustment of Status
  • Some copies of the pictures we took together and with families over the past few years

I know some posters on the forums send in pounds and pounds of proof so maybe this is on the light side? You'd think that having a kid together would be proof enough. Oh well, if they need more they can ask for it, at least this gets the process started. Wish us luck!

I would send in a sampling of bank statements instead of one notice, but I think it will be fine.

Having a child together is secondary to other evidence, it just means you had sex once. For you it isn't that but for some people it doesn't mean a whole lot. We sent paperwork of all of our infertility treatments, semen analyses, and miscarriages. IMO, that should have been enough.

Did you get an RFE? I don't have any semen anylyses but I can send them all my ovulation sticks! (All jokes aside, hope things worked out for you! That is rough, I've seen it up close.)

It did end up working out thankfully, the month after we decided to stop trying and move on to adoption. That was a bit of a surprise.

We sent them all of this and no RFE. It all just feel very intrusive on the part of USCIS to be honest, which is why we are waiting until the 5 year point to do citizenship. I just don't feel like sending evidence again.

The following documents have also been enclosed as proof to the ongoing status of our marriage:

  • Photocopy of the title to a 2014 Subaru in both names
  • Photocopies of Minnesota Driver’s Licenses showing same address
  • Photocopies of joint health insurance plan cards and coverage statement whilst the family lived in Connecticut
  • Joint health insurance application and results for Minnesota
  • Photocopy of joint car insurance on a 2009 Chevrolet
  • Photocopies of joint utility bills for the house we currently reside in
  • Photocopies of boarding passes for joint trips taken to the Virgin Islands in April/May 2013 and to ND to look at houses in March of 2014
  • Joint tax return transcript for 2013 (For 2012 filed as head of household and W-2s are not yet available to file for 2014)
  • Letter from ’s daughter’s school addressed to both
  • Photocopy of ’s life insurance policy listing as beneficiary and her daughter, , as contingent beneficiary
  • Photocopies of infertility paperwork and current ultrasound (tried for two years, had multiple miscarriages, and had fertility treatments before finally getting pregnant with a current due date of 5-8-15)
  • A selection of statements from joint checking account at Bank
  • A selection of statements from joint checking account at Bank and Trust
  • A selection of statements from Credit Card with transactions listed separately for each user
  • A selection of statements from Credit Card with transactions listed separately for each user

I can definitely agree on the intrusive part. That's why we're starting out a bit small and letting them ask for more if they need it.

I am curious how it will turn out because usually tax transcripts, joint lease/title, and bank statements are the gold standard. You never know with USCIS though. I'd post it in the ROC forum once you get approved to show you don't need those things.
