Question for you guys who have gone through Stockholm embassy... The embassy was waiting for medical papers (it's a long story) for a while and today I see on CEAC site that the case has an updated date. Is the date updated every time they go in and do something in the file? I'm asking cause it still says administrative processing, and not issued... so could it be that someone just entered that the papers were recieved?

Hi all,.. a quick question. My case is completed at NVC (finally) 2 days ago, when will I be able to see status updates in the CEAC portal and generally how long does it take until I'll get the interview letter? Would that be once the interview is scheduled? We're CR1 applicants so a different process than K1 applicants. We're 290 days into the visa"journey" now. It is indeed a tiring waiting "game".

How do I go about canceling the application? Do I contact the embassy here in Sweden or go through the USCIS? Any help or advice is appreciated!

Both, although it will probably expire after the embassy sends it back before USCIS gets around to cancelling it.

Hey everyone, I really need your help.

My fiancé and I ended things pretty abruptly in July and will not pursue our visa application. Last thing I heard was that the application had been approved and was being forwarded to the embassy. I think the validity date on our approval said some time in October and since I plan to visit US friends that month, I want to make sure my visa application doesn't screw me over in any way as I enter the country (I know it's recommended to not travel during a visa application process).

How do I go about canceling the application? Do I contact the embassy here in Sweden or go through the USCIS? Any help or advice is appreciated!

Petitioner write a letter to embassy with case number and so on and explain that you guys have decided not to move forward with the visa. The embassy will send it back to USCIS

Does it have to be the petitioner that contacts them or could I do it myself, you think? I have broken all contact with him for various reasons and I don't know how open he would be to helping me out on this.

Well for his own sake too it would be good to do it .... But yeah just write letter yourself then with ALL numbers and names and so on and send it to them...

Yes, it updates everytime they access your case, including to log that they received your papers or receive/send an email to you.

Yes, everytime they do something with your case you'll see a new date on CEAC, or so it seems. Our case was updated once when they received the missing page in my fiancé's tax papers that I emailed them, and then again (about two weeks later) when they received my medical results.

No, I only did the medical on the 18th and had the interview on the 22nd, so the embassy has been waiting for the medical results until now (I got the copy in my mailbox the same day the embassy received the original one). Today the status has been shifting between ready and AP.

Oh! We are very synced then..They were also waiting on mine and today it got a new case creation and update date and shifted from immigrant to nonimmigrant

Another question for you, if you know. Is the vaccination form that people talk about that you need for AOS sent to you automatically? Is it included in the package I will get. I did not recieve my own copy of the medical or that vaccination form. Is this something I should request from them?

I have no idea if you get a copy automatically from anywhere, so I made sure to ask for a copy from the doctor who did my medical. He sent the whole thing (not only the vaccination records but the exact same thing he sent to the embassy) and it landed in my mailbox on Thursday exactly two weeks after the medical. Very practical.

I'd ask for a copy from the clinic if I were you, just in case.

Monday is a Holiday so they don't work there
