Wow, okay. It sounds good but I wonder if you have to be home when it arrives, I don't have that possibility as I don't work in the town I live in. If not home I assume you get to pick it up either way then, hopefully.

I am not 100% sure (the summer of 2015 was a big blur for many reasons) but I have a vague memory of them calling before they came by or they left it kind of hidden by the front door... Something like that. Summer of 2015 sucked.

I might have to send my mother over to my house and stay there until they drop it off, she can have my driver's license perhaps so they know it's okay to hand it over to her.

Oh that's right.. it's been almost exactly a year now, right? I'm very sorry for your loss. :(

Yeah I have a very vague memory of them calling to ask if someone would be home to receive it. I didn't have to show ID though it could be different if someone else will be the one to receive it. If you're lucky you will get an email from Postnord saying a package is on it's way before you receive it and can be prepared. I got 3 emails from them AFTER I had received it lol.

On August 26 it will have been exactly one year since my dad passed away. Thank you.

That would be the best, I hope they do that for me too. Thanks!

Good luck, linafinn, you'll be fine! The interview is very easy and is over so quickly it's not worth any worry. They're all very friendly too (apart from the guy in window 6 who was quite rude while he denied everybody but one during the 2 hours I was there, hahaha).

I'll post a review when I get the time. If you're going to stay at a hotel close by and haven't booked one yet I'd recommend STF Gärdet, only a 15 minute walk on a wide grovel path across the field and you're right by the embassy. VERY convenient and it's not the most expensive choice either. I think the absolute closest one is Villa Källhagen.

Thank you!!! Yeah I feel the nerves are about to kick in now :'(

I already live in Stockholm (about 20 min from the central) so I'm really lucky. Especially since I've seen people from all across Scandinavia going to this specific consulate to have their interviews :/

I know, I thought it was hard and far enough as it was to go from southern Halland with train and then get a hotel and stuff but really it was nothing compared to what others have to go through. At least I'm in my own country still, can only imagine what it would've been like having to go to Oslo or Köpenhamn for this.

It was a pain to go from Aarhus to Stockholm. We had the medical the day before the interview and drove up overnight, in a snowstorm. My husband fell asleep and ended up crashing his mother's car into a snowbank somewhere in Sweden.

Great times.

Hello everyone!

Just wondering if anyone knows how many times can you reschedule your interview at the embassy?

Initially, my fiancé scheduled her interview for Sept. 22, but had moved it to Sept. 29 because of a work schedule conflict. But it looks like the NBI clearance (police clearance from the Philippines) isn't arriving anytime soon, Im afraid it might not get to Sweden on time.

Can we reschedule it for October?

I think you can only do it twice without getting into trouble. Don't do anything until you actually recieve the clearance Edited by Maria&Seve

One more thing, aside from the police station, where else can she get her fingerprinting done so she can complete her Philippine police clearance? The Philippine consulate in Stockholm doesn't do fingerprinting but can authenticate the document.

Best guess would be police station.

Hey everyone, I really need your help.

My fiancé and I ended things pretty abruptly in July and will not pursue our visa application. Last thing I heard was that the application had been approved and was being forwarded to the embassy. I think the validity date on our approval said some time in October and since I plan to visit US friends that month, I want to make sure my visa application doesn't screw me over in any way as I enter the country (I know it's recommended to not travel during a visa application process).

How do I go about canceling the application? Do I contact the embassy here in Sweden or go through the USCIS? Any help or advice is appreciated!
