I agree. Better to be safe than sorry. I actually had to send in a document later that they didn't mention on the interview check list(proof of name change).

Do we have to pay that before we enter the us?

Please update your timeline so we can help you better with your questions as it's different depending on what visa you're applying for.

I brought mine but didn't need to show it. I don't even know why people started to recommend others to bring a copy of it since the consulate has a copy of it Could have been because some person was unlucky and got asked for it. Don't know.

From what I read in the guides I get the feeling that the petitioner should send the beneficiary a copy of the whole package, not to bring to the interview so much, but to go through it so both know what kind of papers/info the embassy has.

We collected all the info and sent in our package when we were together in the US so we both know exactly what was in it and don't really see the need for me to have a copy of the whole thing. I have the originals of every copy we sent in though, which I will bring to the interview just in case.

Yeah I think so too as not all couples puts the package together I guess.

It's also good to bring a copy of the I-129F as the beneficiary if you're travelling to the US before the application has been approved in case you get questions about your visit by CBP.

I have never seen anyone on vj having to show the I-129 at the interview, not in sweden or any other embassy. Of course I haven't read all posts on VJ but if people have had that happen it should be easy to find by using the search bar..

I think the I-129F copy thing might be a Filipino issue? I remember it being a bigger deal there.

How many tax returns are you supposed to bring to the interview btw? Is it only the most recent one?

Nevermind my question above, I found the instructions on the i-134 form. *doh*

It seems like I only need the most recent one, which could be 2014 or 2015 depending on how fast or slow things happen.

Anyone successfully travelled back to Norway (by plane) without a passport after their interview in Stockholm lately? I know it's supposed to be ok, but must admit it's quite stressful. I have my Norwegian drivers license as ID, nothing else.

Yes i had my interview in November last year and i went back to Norway without my passport. I only had my bank card with my information on it but i didn't have to show anything when i got back. So you should be okay with your ID

Thanks,
