It says "case not found with USCIS", same on the website and customer service.

It did this for me too all the way until NOA2 approval. After that I could check the status.

Good to know that someone else from here have had the same issue and that everything worked out fine.

It's just annoying when they send you the NOA1 and tell you that you can check your status when you get the NOA1 hard copy, and then you can't. They shouldn't fool people like that.

Not sure if you have any use of being able to check your status once you have your NOA2?

You can see when they send it of to NVC. Then you can decide if you think it's worth calling them to get the STK number earlier or just wait for the checklist email to arrive which will include your STK number.

Was reading an article in the paper today and think I finally realized why the US embassy have been so slow these last few weeks. On January 21st, that new VWP law came into affect, which means any citizen of a VWP country who has either visited or have dual citizenship in Syria, Iran, Irak or Sudan can't travel under the VWP, they have to apply for a tourist visa with an interview at the US embassy in Stockholm. So I guess that increases the US embassy's workload even further.

Yeah, I'm the same way. At least when you know there's a valid reason for the longer processing, you can be a bit more understanding and patient.

You mean your police certificate? Might be different in Norway, but you need the full one that's valid for a visa.

Wow, still?!?! I guess they are busy due to this new law about the VWP. So I guess you'll call them on Friday and hopefully get some good news.

What law ? And does it have to do with ir1/cr1 ?

Well we can´t call them, but the last day of the month is next Monday.

So will write them so they have it there.

The law is regarding people on VWP that has traveled to Syria and other such countries ...they now have to apply for a tourist visa instead
