We've tried our receipt number via the app, website and via phone/customer service. Every place we could come up with.

I guess we have to keep waiting - I just don't want to spend even more time waiting if it is in fact missing. We're already two months behind if that's the case.

What does it say when you enter in the app?

If you don't want to be behind as you put it the you should read read and read on the process

It says "case not found with USCIS", same on the website and customer service.

Try and search on numbers close to yours and a count of 100 then you can see if your number is in there

Yes that's a good one to have translated. Necessary, I can imagine. I don't have any children so that's one less paper for me. Also no military records or divorce papers.

The military records, at least in Denmark, come in English. My husband was called for the draft but declined to enroll so we had to submit that.

From what I understand you get the NOA1 when it's registered at the Texas Lockbox thingy? And after that it gets transfered to California Service Centre? If so, I have a feeling it got lost between Texas and CSC as there are no traces since the NOA1, and when calling USCIS they have zero info about our peition. I assume they never got it. I could be wrong about how it works though?

It says "Case not found" when we try to check our status (both on app and on their webpage), and when calling them we get the same answer.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Hypothetically, you could send a second one, but then you have to pay the fees again. I-129fs are so quick nowadays, I would just give it some time.

Yeah I think military is easy to get records from. I had no issues getting mine from Sweden.

It doesn't have to be Kammarkollegiet. I have a friend working as certified translator and I used her. I used her as late as two months ago when I ordered a copy of my daughters birth certificate from the embassy. The instructions for those matters also say to use Kammarkollegiet but any certified translator will be accepted.

I think the only agency in Sweden allowed to certify translators is kammarkollegiet?! So if your friend is a certified translator, he/she would have gotten the certificate from kammarkollegiet or so I think.

Anyway, the point is that even though form instructions say you can translate and add a little certification yourself, the embassy in Sweden don't actually accept that. Translations need to be done by a proper translator.

But that guide is for the USC, is there a guide for the foreigner regarding the K-1? Is there a guide about what packet 3 is and what to do with it? I haven't yet figured out if it's only the DS-160 and an electronic pass photo or if there's something more to it.

I've already seen the checklist thanks to Maria, so that part of it is very clear to me. Packet 3 is still a bit of a mystery though, I've seen it mentioned many times but that's about it.

There is no packet 3 for Sweden. You'll only get the email from them.

No, you don't send anything before the interview a part from the DS-160 and the fee. Don't forget to bring the paper with the bar-code for the DS-160 to the interview.
