He is flying with Lufthansa and coming into Dallas as his POE. The dog is coming over on the same flight he is on. He had to call Lufthansa a couple times to verify their process and also to reserve a spot for her once he booked his flight as they have limited space for pets so you have to reserve a space and then apparently pay for the dog at the airport? Little confusing on their processes and not entirely sure what the final cost will be to fly her because he has been quoted 3 different prices for her ranging from $75-400 so he is waiting for the confirmation email to see what the actual price will be for her. Got to love airlines and depending on who you talk to determines what they tell you. ugh.

Haha yeah that is true!... So is the dog in the cabin og in the *trunk* or what ever you call it on a plane? ;)

She's not a small dog so she will be in the cargo area but the nice thing about Lufthansa is that they have a specific area in the cargo for pets that is pressurized and temp. controlled the same way the cabin is for people but that's also why you have to reserve space for a pet because the space is limited. At least that is how it was explained to me anyways. heh

It can be done by others to right?

You have to ask the embassy about that because they are the ones saying they want it from the Kammarkollegiet in their email. Unless they changed it since May 2015. Could be that people from Norway and Denmark have something similar they want you guys to use.

Still the same. If it's a government document available in English, such as personbevis, then they only accept the official English version, no translation. All documents not available in English must be translated by a certified translator. In Sweden that's kammarkollegiet.

What kind of papers do people usually have to get translated? I can't think of a single one for me personally. Personbevis and police records are already in English, not sure what else there is.. =/

I translated a few documents sent to NVC for my spouse's visa. I simply added a text box to the translations certifying that I was competent in the language or something similar. I followed guidelines I found on VJ. No problems whatsoever. I remember seeing instructions from the embassy that mentioned official translators, but that was long after our stuff was submitted. Perhaps it makes a difference if documents are submitted directly to the embassy. Just wanted to share my personal experience from 2014/2015.

Yes that's a good one to have translated. Necessary, I can imagine. I don't have any children so that's one less paper for me. Also no military records or divorce papers.
