Just logged into CEAC and visa has been issued. Our 17 and a half month visa journey is finally over. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. :dancing:

Got this email today.

I'm sure they'll be able to re-schedule you in a week. I know several Scandinavians who were able to change their appointment, so the US embassy in Stockholm seem open to doing it. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Gc&dl: Go to the interview, most likely he will only get a one year ban. Which he would have gotten anyway since he ticked yes in the box where it's asked about drug use.

Like Alaska says, it's a one year ban. He'll also have to submit to random drug tests throughout that year. I have read some recent posts here on VJ about people getting their visa before the one year ban was over though, so they might have eased up on that a little.

Ban for visa? Does this mean he cannot enter the US at all even through the visa waiver?

Gc&dl: he will receive instructions at the interview about the ban. Usually the process is put on hold but there might be some waiver involved too. Regarding the visa waiver, did he admit to drug use when filling that out? I do believe that's asked about and if he said yes and still got it he should be fine. However they might cancel it since they might suspect he will fly over marry you and adjust. But no one can tell until after his interview

We answered no... to the waiver. I don't think that can happen cuz that would result to visa fraud. Otherwise we wouldve done it in the first place XD

So when he has visited you, he has lied on the question about drug use on his ESTA/Visa application?

She did not mean you said no to a waiver, she means that you will be denied at the interview and then I believe you need a waiver after that. I suggest you search the forum for more information.
