I don´t mind a walk.

Will go up on Sunday and walk around the place and take some pictures.

Will be my first time in Stockholm

Gärdet (basically where the embassy is) isn't much to see, it's mostly just a big field, but you have Kaknästornet there that give you a very nice view: http://www.kaknastornet.se/eng/

Stockholm over all is only nice in summer, but that goes for most of Scandinavia I guess.

You also have Scandic Ariadne which a very nice view of the harbor and the big boats that go to Finland. Only downside is that they don't serve dinner on Sunday and the pizzeria right outside... Well let's just say I've had better (or maybe I got spoiled with American pizza...) They do have a grocery store right next to the hotel.

The hotel is within walking distance (about 30 min) from the embassy and there's also a buss stop right outside the hotel and the bus takes you to the embassy.

Booked the interview for March 31st, and he has his medical next week so all we need now is for me to get the affidavit together... feels great to finally have a date!

This has taken way to long.

They don't accept calls at the IV unit, only email inquiries.

Everyone seems to be going through the same issues with the US embassy in Sweden right now, no communication. What frustrates me though is that they have my passport. And since they don't reply to emails, I can't even request it back so I can fly over to see my husband.

That´s just not fair at all.

I got email back from NVC with the normal stuff from them.

They can´t or will not handle the case now it´s done, so they will not sent it to Embassy faster.

So no help from them and as you say Stockholm is now writing back at all.

Only some weeks ago, they got back to you in email within 1-2 days.

When was the last time anyone got an email reply from the US embassy? Particularly, when was the last one anyone got an answer to a questions, where they would actually have to look into something before replying?

Last time I know of was Tuesday February 2nd.

I Sent them an e-mail on December 7th and got a reply the same day, but they didn't bother to answer the question.

Yes i did. And if that´s whats going on i will be happy.

But i never got a email back with yes or no, or even a we got the email.

So i was just thinking why they forward it so fast.

Seems like that other cases are also sent out this week with interview date more then a month away.

So maybe NVC just change the way they do things.
