Is there any way to check your case status with the USCIS without calling them? In the NOA1 email we got it said to check the status on the USCIS website, but that doesn't work - it only tells us the receipt number is invalid. Is there some other place you can check it?

There is the phone app. They are search USCIS and it will pop up

Thank you, I just tried with one called USCIS Case Satus Notifier and I get the same message as I do on their webpage. The receipt number doesn't exist.

Is it possible that they gave us the wrong number? Or maybe you're not even supposed to be able to check your status until NOA2?

No, you should be able to do it with that number. Maybe their system is done right now (wouldn't be the first time) so try again in an hour

Thats weird. And it is the WACxxxxxxxxxx you are entering?

Yes. On the website it says "receipt number isn't recognized" and on the app it says "case not found with USCIS".

That's an issue they have. Some people just can't check for updates. I remember hearing many having the same issue when we were at USCIS back in fall 2014. :(

What did they say, if so.

I'll to try call them, I'm just not sure how big the phone bill will be calling them from Sweden as you probably have to wait forever. :o

Ok, I have a question that hopefully someone might be able to shed some light on it for me. I just checked the ceac status tracker for our visa and it shows that its still in Administrative Processing BUT it shows that the status was updated today 02/03/2016 when it had originally been last touched/updated back on 01/26/2016 when my fiance had sent an email to them and they had replied back to us. My fiance did send an email to them yesterday to follow up; however, he hasn't gotten any response from them yet and it takes 2-3 days for them to respond to emails right now so I'm wondering if this possibly indicates that they have finally received our medical paperwork...I'm just not sure.

They definitely did :) That's what happened to our case too when the embassy received our documents; it was updated on that date.
