The thing is that they never collected the copies I brought of all our documents. Don't they need to include a copy of the marriage cert in the packet I bring for POE?

Did some of your from Sweden or Norway ask about the amount of ppl going to the medical, when you where there ?

I asked in Copenhagen at it was only 2-4 pr week.

So it don't seem like a lot of danes wants to move.

I did. They do medicals for pretty much all the embassies at the clinic in Stockholm. They said they do more medicals for people moving to Australia than they do for the US. The US is an average of 2 a week.

Then there must be lots of open slots for interviews

Not necessarily. I think they only have a very limited number of immigrant interviews each week. A huge majority of people are coming for non-immigrant visas. When I was there, I was the only one in the immigrant line but there were 30 or so in the non-immigrant line.

If you get cc in February you should hopefully have an interview in March, so not that long then. Fingers crossed for you. ? The time just before the decision's always the worst, whether at NVC or at the interview. You just wanna know now now NOW. ?

Maybe many of those people aren't Swedish citizens, so maybe they need to get a visa to travel to the US even for a vacation less than 3 months. I bet we have tons of non-Swedish citizens living here permanently who are from countries requiring a visa to enter the US. Not sure if you need to get a medical for that though.

I bet we have tons of non-Swedish citizens living here permanently who are from countries requiring a visa to enter the US. Not sure if you need to get a medical for that though.

A lot of people adjust status rather than do the whole visa thing. Honestly, had I found living in Denmark more enjoyable, we'd still be living there. We've toyed with the idea of going back, but my husband likes having guns too much.

There are a lot of other visas out there, work visas and student visas and such so it not only K1 & CR1 taking up the time at the doctor and the embassy. Immigration visas are in minority

I know, but i asked them about Visa´s for the US. Not only the kind i do

I will think that every one need medical to go to US, if its work or what ever.

I've had two other visa's for us. For student visa I did not need a medical. To be an Au Pair on J1 visa I needed a medical but I could go to any doctor I wanted to go to.

I think they only do the kind of medical we have to go through for immigration visa's. Because we have the intention of staying and we might have conditions that require long term expensive treatment.

ugh, I really really hate medical dr's and their lack of urgency, especially when they are the ones that messed up. Fiance has to re-do a test but only timeslot available to do so is Thurs. so he scheduled it but we have lost a week of time. We are so close, his visa will be approved once the embassy gets the medical paperwork but the visa medical dr's office can't send the packet until they get these results from his regular dr. sent to them 1st. It's sooooo frustrating.
