Where do you get the statistics from again? It's just that I've never heard of anyone going from scan date to case complete in less than 20 days. Most do it around 30 days. The fastest I ever heard of was 13 days and that was for an expedited case.

It was wrong to say CC in my post but cant change it :(

It´s the time from NVC update the case and for it to be done at NVC.

All the info is from https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

This country and all its weird rules and regulations is driving me bonkers! I got my citizenship a while back and therefore my son is now also a citizen. I sent in his passport application with all that they wanted and I still got a ref! They now want a court order or such to prove that I am guardian! The personbevis I provided in English signed and stamped, states that I am the guardian! I called skatteverket and asked if there is anything else they can provide me but they say no and claims that the personbevis is all I need! When we applied for the visa that kind of personbevis was the only thing needed to show that I was guardian...but I guess it was hoping for too much when I thought this was going to be smooth sailing!

Sorry for the long rant lol But I figured you peeps in here would understand the frustration!!

Anyone know how the 221(g) works. Once we send in the missing documents using the address label we got from the embassy, how do we know that they actually received the documents? How long does it take for them to make a decision once they have our documents? How do we know once they've made a decision, does it say approved or denied on the CEAC website or we get an email or letter? Once our case is hopefully approved, how long does it take before I get my passport back and does it say anything on CEAC about visa being issued or it'll just go from admin processing to issued one day, nothing in between those two status? Lots of questions and worries about this part. :( Just want our visa journey to be over now, coming up on 16 months. :(

Anyone know how the 221(g) works. Once we send in the missing documents using the address label we got from the embassy, how do we know that they actually received the documents? - Unless you have track and trace on you will not i think

How long does it take for them to make a decision once they have our documents? - Didnt they make that when you where there ? - Didnt they just want some papers?

How do we know once they've made a decision, does it say approved or denied on the CEAC website or we get an email or letter? - I think it will just say Approved :)

Once our case is hopefully approved, how long does it take before I get my passport back and does it say anything on CEAC about visa being issued or it'll just go from admin processing to issued one day, nothing in between those two status? - 5 to 10 days from the look of it.

Lots of questions and worries about this part. :( Just want our visa journey to be over now, coming up on 16 months. :(

Hope the best for you and yes 16 month is a long time :(

I wasn't sure so once I got the 221(g) and the address sticker I asked if that meant my visa was approved and got the answer that once they have all the missing documents, the visa can be issued. And they did keep my passport but for me, "will" means it's a done deal whereas "can" means we'll see. My husband says I'm reading too much into the "can" but it's been such a long difficult journey, I just don't want to get too excited until I see it in black and white.

5 to 10 days once the visa is approved is pretty fast. Just want that new updated police cert now, that's the only thing we're waiting on to complete the 221(g). Damn the holidays that slow everything down. :)

We sent our document with track and trace so we would know if and when the embassy received it. They received our letter on the 21st in the morning. The CEAC website showed "administrative processing" from my interview on the 17th and till late in the afternoon on the 22nd where it updated to "issued" :) I received the visa on the 31st. So 9 days from the change on the website but that's including holidays and weekends to.

Have you sent in your documents yet?

So if NVC has teams working on each Embassy it looks good for STK.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wTiKycwK3y5uvvSLww6Dk95Yt-sqVx-BqHEuixlbkzE/edit?usp=sharing

Seems like they can be working on Dec 9th.

I have updated list, i didnt know that there was more numbers :) And there are even more then i have :(

Some days they had up to 4-6 cases, but normal it´s about 3 cases.
