Another question, are there any benefits to add a copy of the US citizen's passport with the i-129f package? He's sending a copy of his birth certificate, we're just not sure if there should be a copy of the passport too? If yes, do you just copy the main page with all the personal info on it or do you copy all the pages?

Nope, if you have the petitioner's birth certificate then you don't need the passport, unless you're using it as proof of visits?!

Thank you. Yes we've added copies of the stamps in our passports showing that we've met and all. But that's it, no other parts of the passport. Good to know we can skip that part then. :)

If you're using passports stamps as evidence of meeting, include a copy of all pages of the passport.

As an added benefit, it doubles as proof of the petitioner's US citizenship.

Even all of the blank pages? We just basically got new passports, so it seems odd. Thanks for the response.

I did bio page and all pages until no more stamps. So basically if I had stamps on pages 4, 5 and 8, I sent in copies of pages 1 to 8 but not of the blank pages after 8. Hope that makes sense. :)

So just finished my visa interview and got a 221(g), because we have to send in an updated I-864, an updated police certain and an English "person bevis". They kept my passport though, so I'm hoping that's a good thing?! :)

The thing is, I'm born in the 70's and three different people at the Swedish Tax office has told me that the "personbevis" with parents name' and all is not available in English for people born that "early". Anyone else on here had the same issue?

Also, they didn't take my two photos and I didn't realize that until I got to the hotel... :( Do they not do that anymore or did she forget? Because the Swedish/Finnish woman I spoke to first was a real piece of work and maybe she forgot to ask for my photos?! OMG I wanted to slap her, we were having quite a discussion about the I-864a, for assets in my name. I even had the instructions with me that stated that if the assets are in the intended immigrants name, there's no need to do an I-864a and this woman basically said she was right and the US State department's instructions for the I-864 and the I-864a were wrong....

But the man actually conducting the interview was really nice and professional.

They kept you passport which basically means you are approved once they get your missing documents. I would sent them a little letter regarding the pictures and sent them as well when you sent them the other stuff.

Sorry they were not all nice but I hope you can get your stuff and you will get your passport with the visa. :)
