I will try to do the medical the day before the interview if possible so I can get it all done in one trip (I don't live anywhere near Sthlm so two trips seem unnecessary). I assume that you can do it like that and then you'll get the decision once the embassy recieves the medical examination. I'll have to ask them about this first though.

Think they want about 1-2 weeks, so they have all paperworks there.

I've heard of people missing some paperwork when they go to the interview, and all that happens is that you have to send those papers in afterwards, and they won't approve your visa until you do. I assume it could work the same with the medical paperwork.

But like I said, I'll have to call them and ask first.

Yeah you'll be fine. Plenty of people having the interview before the medical results has arrived at the embassy. Just means they won't be able to issue your visa until they have received it.

We did our medical the day before the interview, they just issue a 221(g) saying you need to send them the paperwork. If at all possible, I would schedule them further apart though for sure. It was not enjoyable driving overnight up to Stockholm in the middle of a snowstorm.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes for the Norway Medical Dr's office to return voice messages? My fiance left a message the end of last week so I'm assuming it might take them a couple of days but not sure. Anyone have any experience with that office? Can't schedule the medical if we can't reach them.

You should send them an email. They respond to that either the same day or that day after.I never got ac call back after leaving a voicemail.

Yeah, the voicemail stated (when I called a few months back) that it was rarely checked and was being phased out, so just send them an email.

hmm, ok I will let my fiance know to do that. Also, it doesn't say where he is suppose to go to get the chest x-ray and bloodwork done, will they tell him that in the email if he asks? Did you have to ask about this too?

You will get an email detailing it all, including requisitions for x-ray and blood work. There was one snag in my case in that they used a old template for the x-ray that was back-dated by more and 6 months and unilabs refused to use it then.

Yes. He will get an email with more instructions, including:

• Information about when they can receive him in Oslo
• What information he needs to send to the doctor ahead of time (Personal info, U.S. address etc)
• Requisitions for blood and x-ray
• Form to be signed and stamped by the ones who does the blood and x-ray
• Which vaccines are required
• Estimated costs
