Most likely the day after ! :)

If I can get a ticket with a reasonable price. I can't wait to get home :D

Sounds like a very good idea. I'm at the airport, scheduled to board in about 20 minutes :)

I think it's so cool how close so many of us are. We should have a meetup in D.C one day! Also, it's really funny to me how you and your fiancé met in Alexandria, which is where me and my fiancé had one of our first dates back in 2012 :D

Yes, we should totally do that! :)

OMG IM FREAKING OUT ITS ISSUED!!!!!!

After your interview your CEAC status will change to "ready" and then to "administrative processes" which means that they are making sure all your documents are in order and preparing your package for you. Once it's issued, they have printed your visa and its on its way to your house!

Congratulations!!

I had my medical today in Copenhagen and it was over so quick! Now all I can do is sit back and wait for 30 days to pass at the NVC..... I'm terrible at waiting and not doing anything!

I'm thinking about booking my flight.

I know it very risky, but the prices are very low. (About 3.000 kr)

Interview 6th of August and I'm thinking about booking a flight for two weeks after that date..

Is it way too risky?

It's REALLY tempting but I'd wait. I mean I had my interview on the 2nd and I'm still hesitating booking my flight for the 10th of August. As people on here always say, don't book anything until you have your visa in hand! My flight will be around 10000kr and it SUCKS but better safe than sorry.

Wow, why is it going to be that expensive?

I think you will be safe with booking a flight for the 10th. It's almost a full month away.

Pretty much because I'm booking so close to the date of the actual flight and also because I'm flying to the west coast. I keep checking google flights and seems like the cheapest flights heading to San Francisco/Oakland/Sacramento are never under 4000kr and I'm also trying to book with as few stops as possible so the one I've chosen is perfect for me (Gothenburg to Stockholm, then a direct flight from Stockholm to Oakland).

10 and a half hours! It's nice for me as I just fall asleep the moment I get in my seat and I hate dragging my bags all over the place during layovers.

Just remember that airplanes are pretty much the safest means of transportation! And maybe have a drink or two, hehe.

I actually just checked my flights again and seems like the one I picked isn't available anymore but then I checked round trips and I can book a Gbg->London->San Francisco flight for about 8000kr return flight included... just have to cancel the return part once I'm in the States. I swear, the ticket pricing makes zero sense. One way trips being more expensive than round trips.

Yea it makes no sense that the price is higher for a one way ticket than a return!

Don't you think you'll have your passport back before August 10th?

It would be weird if not..

I'm sure I will, I mean I'm making plans around leaving on 10th and stuff, my last day at my job is on the 7th. I could book them right away but for some reason I'm still hesitant. I just want to have the damn visa say at least issued! But it seems to be stuck on Administrative Processing.
