The one I shipped by mail? That was just Posten Norge, our equivalent to USPS. So, sadly, Norway only (I assume).

Right now I wish I was in Norway... Our equivalent to USPS just changed owners or something like that and now they're useless. Their website doesn't even work. "Server Errors" all the time.

I'm gonna use Travel Cargo here in Sweden. They quoted me a total price of 6.238 SEK from Malmo to Austin. That's for 4 large boxes weighing 23 kg each and 4 medium boxes of 15 kg each. Thought that was a pretty good price. ?

Wow! I need to look them up! 6000 SEK is what UPS wanted me to pay. FedEx gave me that price for express shipping too. Postnord says 800 SEK which is okay but I don't get why that is express and they don't offer anything else. Why can't they offer something slower and cheaper? :P

Whoa, that is nice! :D

Also hey, we'll be in "neighbouring" cities. Because, ya know, distances in Texas are nooothing...

I shipped with Posten and it wasn't too expensive...but holy bullcrap does Postnord's website suck right now. I didn't even know it changed over! I think I paid like 2 400 SEK for two flyttlådor of books, clothes, random stuff... I don't remember how much they weighed, sorry, but they were standard flyttlådsstorlek. :P I just stored the rest of my stuff at my mom's place, but our situation is a bit different since we're planning on moving back eventually, so I didn't want to/have to get rid of everything. Maybe just walk over to your local postnordkontor and talk to them in person about the options?

Entered on a K1 Visa, now a proud holder of a ten-year Green Card!

Travel Cargo seems good and cheap. Will call them today to get a price quote. I'm going down to Helsingborg during my last week in Sweden so I'll just go to Malmo Airport and drop it off there.

I finally got somewhere on Postnord and figured out it would be 800 SEK for express shipping. I actually emailed them and asked why they don't offer non express shipping for a cheaper price. I'm not in a hurry to get my stuff over, I just want it cheap :P So yeah for now Postnord is the cheapest option actually.

Haha, well done Maria! Let us know if Postnord gives you a response to the request, I'd like to know that as well.

I honestly don't expect them to reply, I just have a feeling that they as a company don't care much for customer service... But if they do reply I will definitely let you know!

Yeah I so know what you mean, customer service these days are a freakin' lottery.

Hey guys! Just wondering how long it took you to get your police certificate from the Swedish police? My interview is on July 2nd and I submitted the request for the certificate to the police on the 12th and paid it on the 18th when they sent me an invoice. I'm terrified that knowing my luck it'll take an extra long time and I won't get it in time before the interview. Funnily enough, I'm actually Latvian and it took 5 working days to get the certificate from the Latvian embassy in Sweden... go figure.

They say it takes 14 days if paid when you get the invoice in the mailbox, less than 14 days if you pay online when you get the invoice by email. I paid online and got it in little over 1 week.
