Hi everyone,

I received my case number yesterday so I was planning to start fill out the DS-160. I´ve been trying to check what type of questions it will be before hand and I came across a couple things that I´m at this point don´t really know how to answer.

Since this is a non-immigrant visa they seam to ask: length of stay. What did you answer here?

Have you ever been issued a VISA before? Does ESTA count here?

I know that they will ask about traveling to the US and other traveling for the last five years or something. How thorough answers do they need? I travel a lot in my work and by my self. Probably visit different countries about 10-15 times per year so if they need specific dates every travel I need to start collecting this information before hand I think...

Hope you guys can help me. Thank you!! :)

I do not remember that it asked about length of stay. Did you fill in that it was for a K1 visa? Yes, the visa is non-immigrant with immigration intent.

No, you use ESTA when you travel on the Visa Waiver program and that is not a visa.

For travel they only want specifics on the US travels. For non us travel they just want to know the countries you've been to within the last 5 years, no dates needed.

Good luck!

For your US travel history (at least with your current passport) you can follow this link, type in your details and get your previous entry dates :)

Yes, the previous trips to the states was tricky. I'm glad I had some of the e-ticket confirmations left and I could also check my blog.

Let us know if you have issues with any more of the DS-160 questions. They can be really tricky. One really good advise I have is to not over analyze the question. I made a few questions way more complicated than they were :P

Link doesn't seem to be working. Or maybe I'm the only one having issues with it?

Hmm it works for me, but maybe it's a personal link? I'll check it out and try to fix it!

Edit: It's just the I-94, if the link above doesn't work you can go here:

http://www.cbp.gov/travel/international-visitors/i-94-instructions

And click on the top right link that says "Get I-94 number now".

Thank you very much!

You can save it and go back to it later if you want right?

Will I see the available interview dates when I do this or is that later after I´ve paid and on another site?

Yes, you can either save it as a file to your computer or you can save it online :)

You will create an account on ustraveldocs were you will be able to pay the fee. Once you get a confirmation email from them you can see all the available dates. Once you have created the account on traveldocs you can always see the date of the next available appointment no matter were in the process you are. It will be on the left hand side of your "Dashboard".

Hi everyone

I don't know in what way you called NVC, but I found a way to call them for free from Denmark..

I'm just using my Gmail and the Google app called 'Hangouts'

Call +1(603)334-0700

It works, so if you don't want to wait for your USC fiancée to call them, go call them yourself for free :D

I called them about 30 min ago, got thru right away and talked with a nice lady who of course said that it could take 35 days from the NOA2 to NVC received it. It's only 8 days since my NOA2, so I said "okay I'll try another day".

Just wanted to share it with you! :)

Yes, I agree Google Hangout is awesome! And if for some reason you can't use Hangouts (I think some apple products don't like it) then you can use Skype though you have to pay for it but it's still way cheaper than calling from your own landline or cellphone.

Hi again! :)

When you schedule an interview are you only able to see available dates for the next month? I can only see 3 available dates in July and then nothing for the coming months...

I might wanted to schedule for beg August but now it looks like there´s no available dates.
