If it's anything like when I did my K1, you'll get a letter/email from the embassy with a list of the doctors available, so like Maria&Seve said, you don't have that many options. I will say that Dr. Jan Arlestig at Sibyllekliniken in Stockholm was a pleasure to work with and very thorough and swift. But if you live in Göteborg you'll probably want to stick with your local doc.

Yes, I just double checked my checklist and it appears there are only 2 doctors in Sweden now instead of 4. The guy I just sent you the info on in Gothenburg and then Dr. Arlestig in Stockholm.

Thank you for providing this info on Dr. Arlestig. I have booked my appointment with him and then I kept seeing posts about that clinic not being very fast when it came to sending the results back to embassy but I think that was mostly with people who did the medical after the interview.

Thanks! I picked Gothenburg because sometimes we deliver beer there, but I am just as far away from Gothenburg as I am from Stockholm. So only down to 2 Docs?! Well then, I guess that makes it easier to choose. lol

I think I had my medical a week before my interview, and there were no issues with the results at the embassy, which I assume means that they already had them sent over. I got there an hour early and the nurse still did all my vitals right away, saving me some time for my actual appointment. Very pleasant clinic. The only "problem" was that I had to go next door to have my blood drawn for the syphilis test, which at the time was full of pensionärer looking to get their flu shot. Shouldn't be a problem right now though! :)

Yes, I was sure it was 4 because that was what was listed on the embassy portal here on VJ but then I double check the checklist and they only listed two. I updated the embassy portal after that.

Did you have to go to a place across the street to do the x-ray? At some drop-in place? I'm kind of nervous about that, if I'll have enough time to do the x-ray before my medical. I hope there won't be a lot of people there.

No, I'm pretty sure flu season is over now ;) But I can just imagine how it was to be there!

Oooh, good that you mentioned it! No, the X-ray (at least as of Nov 2013) is at Sophiahemmet, just a short walk away from Sibyllekliniken. I'm 95 % it's at Aleris Röntgen, which is house M. http://www.sophiahemmet.se/visa_2008_.asp?l3=14&sida=144They have drop-in hours but I think the doc wanted the actual X-rays to look at during the appointment, so if you have time to do it before your appointment that would be ideal. Double check with the clinic though, things might have changed in recent years! It wasn't too busy when I was there.

Okay, I asked a while back and only answer I got was that it was okay to do it as it would only take about 10 minutes to get the results. I have my medical in the morning but I'll stay at a hotel nearby. I'm trying to decide if I have enough time in the morning to do it before (I have about an hour to do it) or if I should just try to do it the day before.

I'm pretty sure it took me about an hour or so. Sure, the actual process takes 10 minutes but there might be people ahead of you etc. If it were me, I'd do it the day before just for the peace of mind.

No problem. Good luck! Everyone is friendly and professional, at the embassy as well. You should have no problems. :) Just remember to use the line for US citizens and immigrant visas at the Embassy, not the long visa-line. We get a gräddfil! ;)

Yeah, I think this will be my 3rd or 4th visa interview so I'm pretty familiar with the embassy. First time I get to go through the immigration line though. Will be exciting! :)

Hi guys! So me and my fiance are almost there to being able to close this 3 year distance relationship and get married for life! Our case got a case number at NVC last night. I have a question. In Denmark theres a 3 week wait for a medical appointment. I alreadt scheduled it to the 5th of May last week. I didnt wanna take any chances. It takes 11 days to get the result for them and then a few days before Stockholms Embassy recieves it. I am in need of knowing, should i fill out the DS-160 form now? Since i have the case number from NVC. Or should i wait till i hear something from the Embassy? I of course need my medical to be all ready and sent so im hoping the interview wont be till late end of May. But what to do? Am i gonna risk getting an earlier interview date if i send of the DS-160 before i had my medical? Im kinda mind blown on trying to figure out all the calculations and stuff. Will the embassy send me an interview date BEFORE or after I send in my DS-160? Im so confused ?? Thank you all for previous responds and i hope you all have your fiances with you soon❤️❤️ Have a great weekend! Camilla from Denmark Copenhagen

Unless they treat Denmark differently (and I don't see why they would), you schedule your interview with the Stockholm embassy. Meaning that yes, you can go ahead and fill out your DS-160. :) Once that's done, and you've paid, you get access to the embassy's interview calendar, and can pick a date for your interview. Good luck with your medical! :)

Had my medical today. Went fine. Just waiting to see if my bank messed up my visa payment or if the embassy has received it. Should have been able to schedule my interview by now but I still, after 2 business days have not been able to schedule it.
