Hi hello!

Got a quick question for you guys =)

Our case was accepted, and routed from TCS to CSC, does this mean we got transferred?

I thought so, and updated our timeline, but did I do so incorrectly?

I'm not going to claim to know everything, but there have been a few threads lately about people misunderstanding the transfers - you don't submit your petition to TSC, you submit it to the lockbox (which is also in Texas). As such it could be that your petition was never at TSC. See this topic for more on what I mean: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/494524-timeline-you-are-doing-it-wrong/

This might not be the case for you, but it's worth checking to make sure that the timelines are as accurate as possible. :)

Filed in Lewisville, Texas. Got the first notifications from TSC.

But of course, just to be sure, I will triple check and update accordingly. I don't want to contribute to incorrect data.

And yep, read it through. Thanks for the repeat, it's a really good thread, and more people should read it. Learned lots.

*Nargh, spelling errors*

one more question. my personbevis doesn't list me as married since I haven't been to Sweden to change it. I thought I had to go to skatteverket in person to show marriage cetificate etc? will it be an issue that it says "single"?

Well, I can't really tell you about the "single" part - my personbevis says the same thing and now I'm a bit worried. However, you don't have to go to Sweden to register your marriage. This is the letter I got from Skatteverket about it:

Hej!

Skatteverket

Box 942

601 19 Norrköping

I sent in an original marriage certificate and got a letter back later saying it had been recorded in the äktenskapsregister. My new personbevis list me as "married".

It doesn't take a college graduate to take a look at 1. The date on the birth certificate and 2. Correlate that to when the marriage - So the handler can conclude that this paper is still valid but printed BEFORE the marriage and hence made you eligible to be married to your, now spouse, fiancé/fiancée.

Hence, the problem is nonexistent.

I agree with you in this case, but I've learned never to expect any problems to be "nonexistent" when it comes to the USCIS. There's no harm in covering all bases.

Southwest? Kinda, we're Austin to be exact.

Sounds like a congratulations are in order, hooray and go you!

<----Just learned there is an Austin in Minnesota. I just keeping thinking Texas though.

We are way way up north from there. My husband likes it and I like it, so I think it will be good.

Bah, forgot to mention that I use Minneapolis and Minnesota state as pinpoint, it's very much north if you take all the states and the whole country into account, lol. Sorry.

I forget how big it is sometimes.

But yeah, north is good imho B-)

 Well I did mean way north of Minneapolis... I think we are going to be about 5 hours north of Mpls?

I'm not sure how I'm going to handle being that far from an Ikea...New York, Denmark, here, I've always been close to one. *faints*

I've been super lucky to have one of my best friends doing a semester abroad just an hour away from me, but she's leaving soon, so I'll really have to try to find new American friends to hang out with. How are you guys meeting new people? My husband's friends are great, but we don't really have a lot in common.

I don't really meet a lot of new people. And I am fine with that, at least for now. I moved here to be with my wife and since we both work. I cherish every minute we get to spend together. I have a lot of co-workers I really like, though, and I have even socialized a little with one of them outside of work. Like this weekend, for example, my wife and I are going to my co-worker's house, she's having a birthday party for her son.

Well the people I visited and my future husband calls it 'Midwest', and I have no clue as to why.

Maybe someone here can explain it to me? In reality, it's very much North East, so I'm confused.

But 5 hours north of Minneapolis, not far from bordering Canada? You're right, that is far north.

You win, and Oh! Do you have to go through border patrol crossing into Canada from the US?

Mwhaha, IKEA, yeah.. it's something to be missed. No more quick mending with homeland foods,

oh dear, actually.. I'll miss that too. Never thought I'd catch myself say that.. ever.. :o:lol:

Second. However, they are not totally incompetent.

Question for you MikeandEl.

What forms did you use for your AOS? How about medical? Gathering some for myself and should be ready to post within a couple of weeks.

I sent in the I-485 with accompanying I-864, the EAD form I-765 and the Advance Parole I-131. For my medical, I sent in the part of the medical exam with the vaccines on it - and then I got an RFE for the vaccination transcript, so go see a surgeon general and get that part of the I-693 filled out properly. Let me know if you have other questions and I can post our cover letter. I haven't gotten the green card yet, but I did get the EAD and AP approved, so I must've done something right at least. :P

Interesting. Which doctor in Sweden did you see for your medical? Any vaccination you did not received?

I am about to only submit the vaccination record DS-3025 or which one it is. Sounds like a gamble but worst case is a RFE.

Thanks for the reply.

I saw Dr. Jan Arlestig at Sibyllekliniken. I didn't need any vaccinations according to them, but the health center here in the States told me I needed a tetanus booster. We have a cat so I figured it couldn't hurt, even if it wasn't strictly necessary. Here's hoping you avoid the RFE. :)

I'm going back to Sweden for a couple of weeks this summer, it'll be nice! I'm sure I'll miss my new home though. Mr Borkström, I'll say hi to Västerås for ya! :)
