Thanks, we got another update the 30th of december, but we have no idea what it means??!

I also need to ask all of you, it says on the embassy info on this site, that you pay the visa fee in advance?? But i think i have read on stockholms embassys website, that you pay a the office...anyone knows?

You pay in advance. You have to do it at your bank, since they won't accept a receipt from an internet transfer. ETA: You get the info on how to do this in your interview date email.

Congrats! I think I paid maybe a week or two in advance. You hand in your bank receipt with all the other papers at the embassy, and since you get the bank receipt when you pay, I guess technically you could go to the bank right before your interview. Wouldn't recommend it though. ;)

Finally made it across the Atlantic! Arrived Dec 28th, POE Boston, applied for a social security number Dec 30 and received it in the mail yesterday, Jan 6th. No problems with the SAVE database or anything. Looking forward to a few weeks of taking it easy before the whole AoS process starts up.
