Ingen som gjort intervjuen och vet att personbevis funkar?

Som du säger så har vi ju inte födelsebevis, utan det alternativ vi har är just uppgifter om födseln och föräldrar, var de varit bokförda osv. .

Jag googlade precis, och det är det som gäller, fråga du runt, men jag är säker på min sak iallafall.

När du översätter birth certificate till svenska står det även birth certificate!

Intervju och visum godkänt enbart med det långa födelsebevis som har nämnts här i tråden. Ingen fara!

Now, about the actual interview... I'm supposed to bring a birth certificate - födelsebevis. Thing is, that we don't use this in Sweden - we only use extracts from the population register which is handled by the Swedish Tax Authority. So, I have no idea what to bring, since they ask for both a birth certificate, and an extract from the population register. Is there anyone who has done the interview here - what did you bring?

Replied earlier to you from my phone, but just in case you didn't see it: Just the long form personbevis with the stamps and all is fine. It got me my K1 visa a few weeks ago without any problems.

Ok, thanks a lot everyone! It was just confusing with them listing both these things. That was the only "problem" as I could see when it comes to documents to bring. So, all good! Thanks again!

A good place to check for future reference is the State department website:

"Available. Birth records for persons born after July 1, 1991 are called "Personbevis", and are issued by the local office of Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket), covering the applicant's place of residence at the time of birth. (If place of birth is unknown, apply for the birth record through 'Riksregistret' at the Swedish Tax Agency.) The complete version should state the applicant's date and place of birth, the names of both parents, their marital status and their date of marriage, if applicable. Birth records for persons born before July 1, 1991 can be obtained both from the parish office (Pastorsambetet) in the parish of the applicant's birth and from the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket)."

När jag hade min intervju i september 2012 fick jag ett personbevis från Skatteverket. Jag gick faktiskt till kontoret i Västerås personligen och bad om ett exemplar. Jag bad speciellt om att få det på engelska och förklarade att det var för just visum för flytt till USA.

Jag vill minnas att det var tre sidor. Sida ett var uppgifter om mig, min civilstatus, var jag var född och när, osv. Jag har för mig att sida två och tre var för min mamma respektive pappa. Jag är inte helt säker, och jag är inte heller säker på var jag har alla papper.

Men faktum är att ju sitter i mitt sovrum i Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, och det var inga problem vid intervjun, så...

I had my medical in September 2012. Assuming nothing has changed since then (and I have no idea what-so-ever if they have changed or not), this is what you need:

What you need to bring to the medical is:

your passport

2 passport style photos

vaccination records

The fees are:

medical examination: 1700 SEK

x-rays: 500 SEK

blood sample: 600 SEK

Both for the medical and the x-rays they asked me if I could pay in cash, which they preferred, so it may be a good idea to bring money with you, I'm not sure you can use your bank card to pay (and I have no idea where to find abankomat in that area).

NOTE!!! This was september last year. I don't know if the fees are still the same. Where is your medical? Stockholm? If it's in Göteborg or Malmö, I don't know if it will be different for you.

In Stockholm in Nov it was about 2300 SEK (I think), for the medical, and 415 for the xray. Nothing for the bloodwork, as it was included in the medical.

I had to bring one passport pic but it's only for them to staple to the medical chart. Also bring vaccination records.

Så typ lite under 3000 kr totalt.

ETA: For the xray I could pay with my credit card, but at Sibyllekliniken the card reader was broken so I had to get cash. There was a bankomat literally just around the corner though, so no big deal.

Ok. Well since they are cooperating it should be the same cost?! I will do it in Malmö, my hometown.

I read in a letter on the uscis info on stockholm,that it costs 3100 and bloodwork and xray is not included, i was like daamn, thats expensive!!! But i will call and ask after xmas. Thanks guys :-)

One more question, how does it work with the interview date? How will we get it? Since we can't call the embassy for anything which is totally rediculous!!

I believe it is via email, at least it was for us

Ok, thanks. I already did that twice, but we will see after xmas. Our status update changed on 19th of dec to ready, but no mail or email yet.
