I followed the instructions and got re-directed to cgifederal. One of the questions asked were if I had recieved was: Have you received a K-1 checklist from Immigrant Visa Unit?

Which checklist are they referring to?

The one they send you in the mail that says Checklist and has your full name and case number in the title.

Thank you guys I really appreciate the help, I'm just really confused and scared that I'll mess something up. I'll wait for the checklist before i pay the fee then :)

I know the feeling, I waited until the checklist showed up as well. I didn't get it as they didn't have my email, so my fiancé forwarded it to me when he got it. Remind him of checking the spam mail too in case it ends up there. You'll have it on friday I think, it only takes 3-4 days for them to send it from when they receive your case.

NBI clearance?

She can reschedule but I believe you can only reschedule once.

NBI is the national police department that issues the Philippine police clearance. Since she's Filipina, who would need one.

Is there any Filipinas here in the Scandi forum who is from Oslo? I need help with the Philippine embassy

Can someone explain how biometrics fit in with the AOS application/EAD?

My husband had to miss his initial appointment (we got the letter August 1, and the appointment date was August 8 and he was out of the state for the week), so we sent in a rescheduling request. Haven't received a new biometric appointment yet, but I'm now nervous this is going to delay the EAD if we don't get rescheduled soon (I've read about people not being rescheduled for months).

The Boston office is iffy about doing early walk ins but I'm hoping they'd accept a late walk in knowing we tried rescheduling but haven't heard anything yet.

When I look up the STK number on ceac it says Ready and has been since Tuesday last week, but people have advised me to wait till I receive Packet 3 before scheduling the interview or the interview will be cancelled...

The NVC letter gave us a link to a checklist but I dont know if that counts as the Packet 3 checklist?

I'm sure the e-Mail from the embassy will come very soon!

We missed reading the messages about 'waiting' for the email. So, once we had our case number from NVC, we scheduled the interview ahead of time, paid, and did all the paperwork online. When the fiance got the checklist (a few days later), they left a voicemail to confirm that he was the owner of the appointment. He called them to clarify and they were very helpful. :)

Go to the support at traveldocs and email them from there. If you call you only get a general customer service rep that can't give you specific answers and will tell you to email anyways. That happened to me... :)

Oh and they answer quickly.
