Hello, it's been 5 months now since DS230 was submitted last november, still case not complete. NVC wouldn't tell us what the hold up was, til my husband got a lawyer last January. The lawyer was able to get out of them what was needed by making a letter for them to respond. They wanted papers on my husband's tax deductions so my husband sent them the needed papers the last week of february. The lawyer said it looks ok now and we'll just have to wait for NVC again, but until now there's still no news. Just really feeling sad, and wondering if anyone has an idea how long till they review our case again...1128966konls4j981.gif 1128966konls4j981.gif 1128966konls4j981.gif

If NVC has all of the paperwork they require, then your case should get completed in a week or so.

Good Luck!!

Have you spoken to an operator at NVC to find out, maybe there is something else missing with them??

Do you have an idea whether you are on AP? Or if there is any RFE? 5 months is so long.. I have seen case completion a week after the packages were sent to NVC..

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever......

Hi Candid_witch, I guess that is AP for us since it's been a crazy 5 months since we submitted the DS230 and AOS and we are still waiting...:(...everytime my husband called them before the operator would say they are still reviewing it and we even talked with a supervisor and its the same and told us to wait. When January came and still no change my husband got a lawyer and the lawyer filed a motion that demands for them to reply and tell us what the hold-up is about or there will be legal action, with that the lawyer was able to get out of them what it was that's holding it up so we sent to NVC the needed documents rightaway and its been like 3 weeks now i think since we submitted it.

The latest update we got the other day was the IRS is done reviewing some tax documents cos that was what they were questioning about. But why in heaven's name can't NVC just tell us rightaway what is needed and we could have just supplied them the needed paperwork. So I guess now it's another wait again for the NVC to review it. I hope and pray this time it will be completed.

I think you are waiting for completion too i hope when yours get completed i'll be next too, God Bless Us, this is the craziest wait ever.

I decided to call NVC after reading your post. I needed clarification whether the review they are saying is just standard review or we are in AP. The operator told me that it is just the standard review. I guess they are really slowing down for some reasons. It is just annoying why can't they tell you the real status of your case and let your papers sit there for 5 months.. I just hope that your case would be completed soon..

Wow.. 5 months is way too long... i read somewhere here in visajourney that you can actually request to talk to a supervisor to know why it's been there for so long now. Sometimes there are information that the operators could not discuss but if you'll ask for the supervisor, of course they could be more upfront.

01-02-2008 - Recieved NOA1

09-29-2008 - Received the I864 packet

03-02-2009 - Hubby sent the I864 and DS230 to NVC

COngrats Candid_witch, i see you already got a schedule for your K3, Goodluck!! :):star:

Hi Raeka, we did talk with a supervisor and all the supervisor said was they are still going to make an "inquiry". That time we did not know what the inquiry was all about and they wouldn't tell us too and just told us to wait for them to contact us and that its a busy time for them and even told us not to call them again :protest: So we just got us an attorney. The atty was able to get the info and we sent the needed papers to them which is frustrating cos they could have just told us about it... :bonk:

Thanks. We set up K3 appointment hoping that our CR1 would be completed at NVC by then.. If not, then we need to cancel the interview and wait for case completion instead. I want to be positive so I am keeping my fingers cross.. Who knows we might have the same sked? :star:

I am hoping and praying for the same.. When was the last time you called NVC to follow up? We are calling twice a day, everyday.. :P Yesterday morning the operator told my husbie that our case HAS BEEN REVIEWED. I called in the evening and the operator told me IN THE FINAL STAGE OF REVIEW.. Their statements made me confused although they both said to call on Tuesday because it might have been complete by then..

Goodluck to us!
