AOS very confusing

Hello VJs,

I'm really confused right now. I filed my AOS Feb 2, 2009 and I was surprised cuz I received my schedule for the interview today March 14, 2009 and it says that my interview will be on April 21, 2009 and I don't have my EAD yet. It is so wierd. Is this normal? Does anyone experience like this? Pls help vjs.

Your EAD should arrive in a couple of weeks. Looks like you're on a fast track for AOS. Congratulations!!

Anything possible with USCIS. That is not unusual, you are really

on fast track. EAD might be arrived before AOS Interview, No body knows !....

I-130 mailed 01/13/09

I-130 received by USCIS 01/16/09

NOA1 Mail for I-130 received 01/22/09

I-485 Package mailed 02/17/09

I-485 Package received by USCIS 02/20/09

NOA1 Mail for I-485 & I-765 received 02/26/09

NOA2 e-mail for I-130 Approval 03/03/09 (47 Days)

NOA2 Hard Copy of I-130 Approval received 03/07/09

Biometrics App. Mail Notice received 03/09/09 (App. Date 03/24/09)

NOTE : I DID NOT APPLY FOR I-131 (AP).

If everything goes ok on the interview and hopefully have a green card before my ead, do I still need ead in applying for job or gc only will be ok?

that happened with me too...i got my interview letter before i actually got my EAD in the mail. if it happens that you get the GC before the actual EAD shows up u could just use the GC or the temporary stamp but chances are, like me , the EAD will sneak up on u right before the interview.

Last year, many VJers who arrived on a K1 got a green card (GC) before 90 days and were not issued an AP or EAD.

The EAD is normally taken during the AOS interview and the GC is good for work/getting a SSN.
