RFE after CR-1 case completed!

I received an email 2 hours ago from the NVC, stating that they had not yet received the items from the RFE checklist they sent me for the DS-230. The list consisted of the following:

• Original Divorce Decree (I sent a certified copy originally)
• PCC for the Netherlands (Can't send it as the Embassy has to "order" it for you from the consulate in Amsterdam)

Kourtni sent in the Original copy of the divorce decree and attached a letter stating we couldn't send the PCC and attached a link to the state.gov page that states that.

Anyway, we got an interview date of the 28th of April a few days back now and the AVR on the NVC customer service phone line say the case is complete and was sent to London on the 11th of March 2009. So I'm a little concerned as the email says the following:

The

NVC

has received the requested Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) or supporting documents. However, we are still waiting for the response to the checklist letter for the Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230) or civil document. Please return the requested information so that we may complete the processing of your case.

It also mentions that "Failure to provide the requested information will delay your immigrant visa interview."

As I can't call them until Monday, I'm hoping someone here might know something to help me.

Do not worry, speak to speak NVC and later (if needed) explain to IO at the time of interview.

That's cutting it fine though if I turn up to the interview and I odn't have any documents with me to show them and they haven't received the all clear from the NVC...anyone actually have any experience with this issue?

You have no choice than to carry photocopy of originals at the interview. Usually NVC send list of original documents that they received to the petitioner.

Since you already submitted originals to NVC and still got RFE so talk to them (make sure with them it is not a false RFE) and resolve the issue.

As part of the interview letter, there will be a list of documents that have been received by the NVC, and if things were missing, they will be indicated on the letter as well. Good Luck!!

Thanks queuedup, the list doesn't list anything as missing, which raised my suspicions. Another half hour and I can call, so I'll update if I can in case anyone in future has this dilemma.

Dont worry more then likely its FALSE RFE, I received one as well when my case was completed. All I did was called and spoke with NVC operator and they say just ignore the RFE. I am sure yours is the sameway otherwise they wouldnt assigned interview date.

waithatter, to close this up, yes it was indeed a false RFE based on a Dutch PCC. Because a Dutch PCC needs to be ordered by the US Embassy in London from the US Consulate in Amsterdam, the document is indeed missing at the NVC phase but is nothing a petitioner or beneficiary needs to worry about according to the NVC customer service as the US Embassy will ensure it will have it by the interview date.
