Hi! I tried calling the NVC AVR again yesterday and heard a little different message so i'm not sure if it's referring for an RFE for the I-864 or my DS230. I found a thread here that talks about the meaning of different messages that you can hear from the NVC AVR but none of them is like mine. Here's what i found in the thread:

"The NVC has reviewed your packet of forms and found information missing or incomplete on your financial information. The NVC sent a checklist letter on ... "

... but here's what i heard when i called the NVC to check our status....

"The NVC has reviewed your packet of forms and found information missing or incomplete. The NVC mailed a letter on ______ indicating more documentations were missing or incomplete......."

It didnt say 'on your financial information'... Could it be about my DS230?

Anyone got a message like this before? :huh:huh.gif

Call NVC on Monday, and see if you can get more detail on the the RFE. When my AVR had that message, it was due to NVC having reviewed my AOS and my DS-230 wasn't in their system yet. The AVR message could be outdated.

They might have found an RFE, but it could be false! They received our DS-230 before our I-864 RFE package and send we had information missing. We waited a few days (I also couldn't get ahold of an operator it was so busy!) and then received a letter stating basically "we received the DS-230 but not the RFE package...." so FINALLY I got ahold of an operator and she said "oh yeah that's because we just looked at your information....oh and looks like your case was complete today too!" Anyways, definitely don't rely on the AVR!

Thank you so much for all your replies!!!

I just called the NVC and the operator told me that they have reviewed the I-864 and everything was fine and that they just got my DS230 Last March 10 so they're currently reviewing it. So all of you guys are correct.. it's all about my DS230.. I just have 1 question.... Looking at other's timeline here, it only took them 2 to 4 days reviewing their DS230.. They said they received mine last March 10, how come it's taking time for them to review it. hmmmm..... hehe.. just wondering.. :-)

I wouldn't worry too much about it. In my opinion, I think NVC is backed up because of all these rush of approvals lately. It is taking me more than 2 weeks just to get a case # assigned so you can do the calculation :)

This has happened to a number of us...

Did you send in the I-864 and DS-230 at the same time, or separately?

I sent in the I-864 to NVC, and then sent in the DS-230 a week later.

The NVC AVR gave me the same recording that you got for about a week.

Apparently, after the I-864 is reviewed and there is no DS-230 in the system yet, the NVC considers the DS-230 to be "missing" and generates a "false" RFE.

Give the NVC a few days to "catch up" and you should be fine.

We first submitted the DS230.. then after 5 days we submitted the AOS documents.. I called again (5th time) and the lady who is so nice told me that everything is fine.. I told her the situation ad she said, oh maybe thats why yo received a letter like that because we just received your AOS.

We will wait again until our case will be completed.. in JESUS NAME with cross fingers :star:
