Air Travel getting cheaper

98% of the time I travel by air, I go directly to the carrier to book my flight. First I'll check all the "discount" websites like Travelocity etc, but direct from the carrier always works out cheaper, sometimes by only a fe bucks, but sometimes by hundreds. And yes, you have to check various days of travel. Flying out on a Wednesday is usually less than flying out on a Saturday, and if it's a holiday any time during your travel, it will cost you more.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

I'm a big fan of American Airlines, sign-up to their frequent flyers and you will get a weekly email giving you the best deals, its the same with most airlines. I admit I send all the emails direct to spam and check in once a week or so, but these days the trends have reversed the airlines themselves are cheaper than the group sites.

I'm a big fan of Kayak.com search engine! they search everywhere! More than once they have presented me lower fares from the airline sites than I was presented directly from United and American. (Maybe "I just have a gift" on getting deals?)

i think thats bogus, cause im trying to buy a ticket right now and it nowhere near 200...its over 350....and to europe cant find anything under 1300 so....they dont know what they're talking about.........

try yutravel.com i awlays buy my tickets from them and most of the time it adds up to areound $700 after taxes to europe and that is round trip. for some reason they now canged their website and it would not give you a quote online butcall them up the lady that awlays take care ofme her name is Sonya. Iam aboutto but a ticket for my husband fromher. they do have thebest deals from what i have experianced

www.itasoftware.com is a good start to search for low fares. It allows for flexible date searches on international flights and all. I usually book directly with the airline once I find the bestd ates with lowest fare and most convenient itinerary but the searching happens on ITA.

That is the best flight search engine out there but I do always check kayak, travelocity, vayama, expedia, farecompare, farecast, cheapflights, orbitz and of course the airlines individual website.
