Hey guys,

I'm from france, and i'm still waiting for my interview date and medical exam.

I sent the DS2001 form to the embassy in paris beginning of may, and still no news from embassy.

i tried to send them a fax, no answer.

How long should it take before i get something from them??

we started the process in november, it's taking so long...

thanks for any help ;o)

Hi,

Don't quite know how it works in France, I just went into the website but didn't find their approximate timescales.

Anyways if you see my timeline you will see that we sent the Notification of readiness on Apr 12th and got an interview date on May 6th... Yours has taken a bit longer, but it might be their busy period. Also, the Embassy in London says that they'll give you the date for the Interview approximately a month before it takes place.

Try to find an email for the Embassy and send them an email with your case number on the subject, that's how I found out about our date before we actually got the letter.

Hope this helps!

No actually the case number that paris needs, is the one you get from NVC. It should start with "PRS2006"

We'er going through Paris as well. We sent our Packet 3 on the 7th of june, and got our interview letter yesterday. Interview set for july 20.

Also Paris does not accept email inquiry, at all. So you'll have to keep faxing. If you'd like the fax number, pm me and I'll see if we can find it.

Thank you both for your help.

i know when i sent my ds2001 to embassy i didn't fill in the case number, cause i didn't know what it was, i guess that's why i have no answer.

i'm gonna check all my papers to get that number and send another ds2001 to embassy, hope this time it'll be faster.

But i don't remember seeing this number on papers.... as we get help from a lawyer, is it possible that he has the number and didn't give it to us??

Probably.... Most of the correspondence that comes from the Embassy will have this number, as this is a unique one and it is the way they recognize between cases...

I suggest you have a good look at your paperwork and if not, give your attorney a call....

Good luck!
