Hi all,

Well we are so close to the end of the road here and glad our case is at the Embassy and the interview date is set. So we should be happy but unfortunately life is life and we got a real dose of it today. My wife has her interview the end of April and was planning her medical the first of April. Today i had a routine checkup with a cardiologist here in the Philippines because i am here to be with my wife for her visa process. I had 2 heart attacks back in 2004 and have had no problems since then. all my checkups have been fine until today. I had an Echo gram done and it shows a clot in my left ventricle. The doctor here advised my wife and I that i should get back to the states as soon as I can for treatment (i feel good) but the doctor is basing that off this test and doesn't have access to my total file. So I will be contacting my doctor back in the states Monday for his opinion. But my question is what are the chances of getting her interview asap based off this? I will go back no matter what because that is not an option for me to chance it and stay till end of April. My wife of course wants to leave right away with me to be there to support me in the needed surgery (probably open heart). Is there a possibility we can get it early and who do i call or what do i do? I am an emotional wreck right now and the wife is in worse shape than me as you can imagine.

Hi MMW,

I'm very sorry to hear your situation right now. Try calling the embassy and hopefully they'll give you lots of consideration to have your wife's interview rescheduled to an earlier date. I pray for your health and i deeply understand how hard it is for your wife to be in a situation wherein she is limited by the circumstances. Tell your wife to stay strong and God will put everything in the right place. Goodluck and godbless!!!

OK seems the Embassy Manila does have a heart. I called them this morning as soon as they opened and they had received my fax and forwarded the request for the early interview to the scheduling unit already. They told me to call tomorrow morning to the 1-900-101-7878 and tell them how soon my wife can be in Manila to do her medical and interview to set the new date. So i guess Wednesday we will be going to Manila to do her Medical asap and then will stay there till the interview which hopefully can be done a week later. Pray for us to have this work out! And thanks all for being here for us. YOU ALL ROCK!!!

A blood clot in the chamber of your heart is not an indication for open heart surgery. Typically, this is caused by your heart being in a dysrhythmia that has resulted in the blood not being pumped effectively from your heart. When blood is stagnant it clots. They problem is if that bloodclot leaves your heart and travels to somewhere else in the body. So, I don't know if that info helps or not but I am an ICU nurse and have experience with these matters. Good luck to you and yes, I would suggest you get back to the states to get treatment.

I hope that everything will be fine with you guys, especially having a good health and getting a visa. You said that the Embasy in Manila doesn't have a heart, why don't you lend your heart to them so that they will feel how you feeling right now hehehe, hehehe or if not get there heart and put it in a boiling water to soften hehehe, just kidding. Just keep on praying, as the bible said prayers can move mountain. Just have faith in God, as we know all things are possible with him.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks find and to him who knocks, the door will be opened....

God bless

actually it helps a lot since that was what the test showed that it was dysrhythmia due to reduced flow in the left ventricle. Can i send you a PM with more detail to discuss it? Just looking for info to help me on the urgency issue.
