How long does Biometric take?

Hello everyone. My name is Kay. I finally could join to Visa Journey yesterday.

Nice to meet you all and thank you for sharing experiences through here.

Well, I got Biometric appointment letter for early March for I-485 and I-765,

but I am wondering how lond does it take to be completely done. Since I have

to change for booking my flight. (My parents and my husband parents never met before

and on that day, they are going to meet up in the different state.)

Could anyone share the experiences, please?? Thank you for your time.

We had our biometrics done in Sacramento and we were in and out in ten minutes.

The biometrics takes about 10 minutes, the waiting may be about 20 minutes maximum so if you allow 45 minutes to an hour you are fine. If your biometrics appointment conflicts in a way that you have to change flight plans, why not see if you can change the biometrics appointment instead? I recieved a notice to have my AOS biometrics on December 19 for December 29th for Atlanta while we were already booked for flights to and from Houston December 22 to December 31 to spend Christmas with my husband's family. The form had a part on the bottom that said if I needed to re-schedule the appointment, to return the form with the request for another date, which I did. It delayed the appointment until February 8th, but it was a lot more reasonable to reschedule the biometrics than the expense of rescheduling our complete Christmas holiday and flight arrangements. If the form you have doesn't have that option, call the Information number and select the option they provide for 'already have an appointment'. The person on the phone should be able to help.
