Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

First noticed it early this morning. It comes and goes.

Anyone else experiencing it hanging?

ips driver error reported in this forum too by jodo, usually that's a sign of database issues.

Indeed. I also got driver error and pages hang on and off.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I have noticed occasional humps in server load for 10-15 seconds in duration. I will try and see what I can do to reduce them from happening :).

I finally found the issue however it will take careful planning to correct. The VJ database is very large and any actions of large scale that are done to it need to be carefully planned out. It appears that some of the "indexes" for one of the database tables were not made correctly. While this does not affect the actual data, indexes are designed to "speed up" sorting data in the database. When they are not used (or not correct as in this case) it requires the server to work harder and causes the "slowness" people have been noticing.

Long story short, I will need to coordinate with the NOC to rebuild the indexes. I will need to wait until a low peak time (3AM EST) and take the server offline for a few hours to rebuild the indexes. With the help of the NOC things should go smoothly and once completed the site should FLY!!
