I do not know what to do - please if you know anything about it, please read.

On March 26, 2009, I will have my K3 visa interview. On March 11, 2009, my CR-1 visa was completed, but unfortunately it did not get on the list of the interviews and will go on the list for the next month - it means I have to wait 4 more weeks until they schedule my interview.

Today I called to the NVC to ask them if they can send my documents to Moscow embassy by the date of my K3 visa interview (14 days left only), the lady said SORRY and they can not do this and I should wait.

But I can not stand it, and I have sent letter to the embassy asking them to help me with this problem.(maybe they will answer me on Tuesday).

Is it possible to get K3 visa interview on March 26th, and then come back to Moscow to receive my CR-1 visa? I can not reschedule my interview because on April 4, 2009 my husband will come to the US to meet me (he works abroad and will have his vacation).

What do you think: can American embassy inquire about my CR-1 documents to NVC if I ask them about it in my letter (yes, sounds silly but I still think people in the embassy can be compassionate)

2 options, interview for the K-3, and simply wait for them to schedule CR-1 interview, and then interview again for the CR-1.

Or get the K-3 rescheduled for a later date, if the CR-1 arrives at the consulate before that date, they will drop the K-3 in favor of the CR-1.

CR-1 is the better visa, you already spent the $470 to NVC, so save yourself another $1010 to adjust from a K-3 and go for the CR-1

Thanks for your ideas, but my problem is that I have to be in US on april 5th, so I cant change my plans( too long story). As I understood- NVC wont send my documents to the embassy untill they shedule my interview, if they did send them now- then I could have a chance to recieve CR-1 visa instead of K3.I have one more question, is it true that with CR-1 visa I will have temporary greencard and if I pass this Adjustment of status(AOS)for K3 visa I will have permanent greencard?

Conditional or non conditional green card depend on when u entered the UNITED STATES

if u make an entrt AFTER the seceon anniv of your marriage ..then uwill get un-conditional Green Card

if before then u get a conditiona one ..and u will need to file for (removal of conditions )

There is no such thing as a "Temporary" green-card, when you get a green-card the status is Lawful PERMANENT Resident. If the GC is issued before 2 years of marriage it will be a 2 year CONDITIONAL-Green-card, which will need removal of conditions filed within 90 days of it's expiration date.

If you are approved for a green-card AFTER 2 years of marriage, the resulting card will not have conditions on it, it will have an expiration date set for 10 years after it is issued.

Today I recieved answer- letter from the american embassy in moscow. I asked them if I can recieve K3 visa and then come back to Moscow later and recieve my CR-1 visa. And they answered this [/color]Yes you can, because K3 visa is multivisa and you can travel with it.

Does it mean that i dont need to start AOS when I come to the USA with K3 visa and wait for this travel document(I-131)?Please explain me

K-3 is multi entry, so NO travel document needed either, and yes, you can enter the USA and then return to Russia to interview for the CR-1.

You are NOT required to adjust status.
