Thanks for the offer. Can you or anyone else translate this for me (it's in my birth cert.): "cán bộ hộ tịch". i think "cán bộ" means cadre and "hộ tịch" means civil status. if so, how the hell do you put it together so they have the same meaning? thanks.

by the way, i'm a little confused about whether we need to translate anything or not. on packet 3 (i haven't read packet 4 yet), it says any documents not in English or Vietnamese must be translated to English. but i keep hearing people on this forum and elsewhere that we have to translate them even if it's in Vietnamese. opinions?
