Im curious about the AOS process. We know to file the I-864 along with I-765 and I-131. I read on a post something about a 'tempory work pass" that they will send you. HELP! What is this, do they automaticly send it to you? How long does it normally take to recieve 'green card'. And, when this is recieved you are legally able to work? And yes, I will conplain about the cost of filing this AOS! As if we havent put out enough money already....! Ok that was my gripe! Any help would be great. We are at the interview stage, so we will be filing this in about 1 month, I hope! Thansk in advance for help

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Only "Temp Work Pass" MAY be issued at the JFK POE when K-1 enters the USA, however after April 1 this pass wont be usable to work, only EAD card or Green-card will be usable for work.

K-1 should Marry, and apply for AOS and EAD, and perhaps AP (I-131). EAD (I-765) based on pending AOS (I-485) is no extra cost.

K-1 is a fiancee visa NOT a work visa.
