Some of these are really touching.....Squidge, Munchkins...all I can say is wow both your stories really touched me.

I too was married before. The classic scenario...I was too young (a month out of college)...and what I wanted in my early 20s is not what I wanted at 19 when i got engaged. So I left. Obviously there's more to it than that, but essentially, I would look at my ex and think to myself 'this is the life I chose' and I would actually feel an emptiness & lonliness inside me that was soooo painful. Now I thought I did love him...but balls to the wall love? No way.

I can not ever imagine leaving David. He is my heart, he is a part of me. I have never felt such a mutualism with another person before. I used to laugh at cheesy chit like 'you complete me' but now I get it because he totally does. In every way shape and form imaginable. We are a team...I have never felt that before. He kills my moths.

I could quite possibly sit here and wax lyrical about how much and how deeply I love D, but I won't. But this is the real deal, balls to the wall, once in a lifetime love that I was blessed from God to finally experience & cherish forever.

According to the bed post.... :P

just kidding!

depends on when you talk about in the life cycle to date... because at all those times i would have answered yes, but as others stated here... wants/desires/outlooks change... even between 19yrs and 22yrs of age dramatically. I am so glad to be with who I am now, that the past "love" doesnt even compare. sure I still care for and about them, i wish them all the best, but i would never go back.

I'm way too emotional and wear my feelings on my sleeve, so I have been in love more times than I can count, or want to remember. The important thing now, is that I'm with someone who loves me, and I truly love them!!

I LOVE YOU CHU CHU!!!:luv:

I think I was in love with my first bf. As much as I could be at that age.

Looking back what I thought was love with my boys dad was not even close to love.

This is the real deal. So twice I guess, but this is the big one.

I could say the same almost word for word  The bf I had when I was 16 shaped the way I am/was...I guess he was my first great infatuation/love which carried on way into our 20's and infringed on both our marriages I am afraid to say. We did finally decide to call it a day for the sake of our other halves and I never saw or heard from him again...funnily enough I divorced my husband soon after.

True love has come late in my life with Chris...it has certainly surpassed the old 'love'.....I didn't feel even a pang when I chucked out all of the old letters, photos, momentos of the past that I had clung to over the years when I moved in with Chris.

Yeh....this really is like nothing before (L)

Hate to admit but its mesmerizing.

I think this avatar should be banned for it could contribute to marital delinquency. he he

Marital Delinquency!?! Naw, but I can't wait until Cristina gets home.

I was married for a long time and I believe I was in love for most of that time but as it has been stated before, if only one is, it doesn't necessarily mean a happy life. I will say that I've never been this happy in my entire life. I've never connected with someone on this same level, I've never wished for another 100 years with someone before...

All done for the next 10 years...

I'm 27 and I was in love with my college boyfriend and I've dated other people but I never felt like I feel for Charles, that's why I've never gotten married. It's the first time I experience true love (both sides) and I'm glad I found it, I'm glad he chose me and I'm blessed (L)

Twice......first at 17, i spent 3 years with that guy...he was a few years older than me, we were eachothers firsts, first everything for that much (even kiss) and we spent every waking minute making eachother happy....3 years into our relationship he ended it saying he couldnt spend the rest of his life knowing he only "Experienced" one women, so i sucked it up, and walked away....spent 6 months drinking away my sorrows until the most handsome green eyed, big dimpled angel came into my life and saved me......fell in love with him instantly and will until the day i die :)

Love like this? Never.

Yeah....sigh....me too Lisa :) I know what true love is...real love..totally unconditional. Joel is absolutely the best thing to happen to me in such a long time...he's the other half of me. Not soulmates, but the other half. Without him I only exist. I mean, it's like....sheesh....how do I explain this: When we are together, I feel complete. It's like, now I wonder what I did before he came into my life! He's my world...my life.
