I had to call the USCIS today because we have been approved, but i have yet to receive the NOA2, and it has been over a week since the web site showed it was mailed, and both times I called i was NOTHING at all, basically i have to wait 30 days before they resend it....fine ok, i understand that. so i asked what exactly do i need to send Abdalla now? they reply, we don't know..... how in the freaking hell do you not know? do you work for USCIS??

i kept my calm and was nice but they will not give me case number or any info at all, and i was spoken to like i was less then human, these are the most nasty, rude, hateful people i have ever had the displeasure of speaking to and i dont understand why!

can I complain? any one know how?

and how do i find my case number? i have the recipt number but I thought there was now an actual case number. I am worried to death, I will miss some deadline some where and be with out my habibi even longer, and im running out of tears :crying:

Call NVC and see if your case has been forwarded there. You will be given a different case number once your petition is there. 0r, keep calling the misinformation number at USCIS and ask to speak to a CO.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

If I remember correctly, after getting the NOA2, your petition gets sent to the NVC. The NVC just basically holds it for a week or so and then ships it out to the Cairo Consulate. That is where the papers for your fiance will be sent out, so technically saying that she didn't know what will be sent to him is correct since each embassy has different requirements for whatever effed up reason. I personally think they should all be the same and that there should be one person that they ALL report to so complaints can go there but for now the only outlet you will have is your Senator or Congressman. I wouldn't go that route until you really need it though since so far it looks like things are going smoothly for you and you don't want to wear them out. Good luck!

It is not USCIS that decides the requirements for what to send your fiance to prepare for the visa application, which is the next step in the process. That is Dept of State territory, and those requirements do vary from consulate to consulate....so the person was correct in saying "we don't know".

i kept my calm and was nice but they will not give me case number or any info at all, and i was spoken to like i was less then human, these are the most nasty, rude, hateful people i have ever had the displeasure of speaking to and i dont understand why!

Your petition will now go to National Visa Center (NVC) and crosses over into DOS territory. At NVC, your case will be assigned a new case number (you will be mailed a letter w/ this case number) and will be forwarded to the US consulate in the country of your fiance/husband. It is this new number you will need to use for reference in the future until the visa is issued. I would wait about 1-2 weeks after the date of approval and call the NVC, speak with a 'visa specialist' (do not go by the info on the automated system) give them the USCIS issued number, DOB of your fiance, and they'll tell you the new case number and info as to when the file has been sent to the consulate. (NVC phone number is 603 334-0700).

Once you know that the case is on its way to the consulate, your fiancee can expect withing a week or two (I think, but this again depends on the consulate) to receive a packet from the consulate containing instructions on what to do/how to proceed from there.

I am worried to death, I will miss some deadline some where and be with out my habibi even longer, and im running out of tears :crying:
