hahaha....that was the main argument i had with my hubby....because its really different from us here in the philippines.. so if your name is Marcus Alfonso F.(Ferrer) Garcia

In US, your middle name would be Alfonso

In PI, your middle name would be your Mom's Maiden name which is Ferrer

So,whatever you put on you G-325A, I think you should put that too. So,there would not be any confusement.

Is the middle name they asked in question number 7 considered as the second name or the mother's maiden name? i don't know what to write because the middle name that i wrote in the g-325A is my mother's maiden name not my second name.

Your middle name in the Philippines is your mother's maiden name. All personell at the US Embassy should be aware of this.

You will find some difficulty in the USA with two first names though. Many state and federal computer programs will not allow two first names with a space. If you take the space out the computer will accept the name. For example, BillyBob Thorton.

I believe here in the US by middle name they mean your second name and not your mothers last name. So if your name is Maria Teresa or Maria Elena then your middle name would be Teresa or Elena and your first name is Maria. I had thesame problem before until my husband explained things to me. Or if you want to be more certain you can call USCIS at their customer service number.

When i filled up my G-325A I wrote my second name on the middle name but when my fiance (pinoy) got the form he told me that i should wrote my mother's maiden name, so he changed it. Now I'm confused what to write in Ds-156. hihihi! Anyway, I will jusr put there 3 names including my mother's maiden name so they wont be confused.

Thanks!

I would assume you are getting ready for interview. In filling up all the forms needed for interview, try following your name as written in your Philippine passport as they will base your visa on the name presented therein.

Good luck and God bless.
