This is a discussion i've seen come up so many times. The process is difficult and people deal with it in so many different ways.

You have those who feel like the OP and have a difficult time dealing with others celebrating what they want so badly for themselves.... and then you have those like sara (estadia) who have been waiting almost 2 years, yet still congratulate everyone for moving on!

In our case, we had to wait years just to file and it was very difficult. I was a member here at VJ long before I sent the actual petition off. I remember the envy but I also remember making the choice to be happy for those folks who went before me. I think it was actually easier for me to deal with our own wait. I would often remind myself that I didn't know their story and perhaps it was even more heart-wrenching than ours. I remember others approvals giving me so much hope and with each one, knowing that our time was going to come..eventually and that we would feel like that too. Sure, the wait is difficult, but we each really do have a choice in how we deal with it.

To the OP. I understand your frustrations and wish I could offer you more support than these few words. But I also feel like those who reach the point where they are finally able to celebrate have every right to post and they should. It makes a lot of people happy to see the progress. I still feel my heart fill up when I know someone is as happy as I was when that day finally came for us. It warms the soul. :)

I don't think this process is spelled out any better than it is here in the PI forum. Whatever questions you have.. just ask. You are sure to get a flurry of advice and support from the people here. ;)

Do what you can and what you have to do to keep yourself happy until it's finally your turn too. good luck!

Very well said Kim. :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

To the OP: I understand where you are coming from. It might help if you try not venturing into the Philippine regional forum till after you get your NOA2. You might be able to cope better if you just frequent the special subforum for K3 especially the thread for the month you filed your initial petition. You would probably fell the connection with those people who filed the same time as you since you will go through the same roller coaster emotion at the same time. Then when your interview time nears, you can post your questions here and then share your interview and medical excitements with those who will have it almost the same time as you would.

I made friends in the vj forums, I have even met several vjers when we had medical and interview in Manila. We had VJ eyeballs before (i don't know if some here have also set up meetings with other vjers) Some of those I have meet were still waiting for approval, some are still about to apply, some waiting for visa, some leaving in a few days, some getting ready for interview... different stages in the visa process, different visa categories, one commonality: we were happy for each other and was encouraging each other no matter where in the process we were in. And for each approval, for each visa received, for each problem hurdled: a simple CONGRATULATION meant the world. The other people around us would never understand how hard it is to wait for immigration news, the only people who would truly understand are the people who are going through it or have gone through it. When your time comes, you will understand why the simple congratulation from people who truly understand would feel so great and why it should not be something we should deprive anybody of.

Good luck to you and God bless.

If you dont like what you read then dont read it. Vj is about informing others on the status of a process they have taken during a journey that all of us are having to be with the one we love. I think you are little jealous but dont be because your day will come and you will also be so excited and want to post it.

Just a question for the OP, noticed in your timeline that your I-130 was submitted 2-24-09. you received your NOA1 on 3-08-09. just wondering what's the motivation for the thread? seems early in the process to be frustrated or impatient.

just curious... maybe I shouldn't be, since in the previous post was pic of cat... :P

Wow, so many people giving this girl such a hard time.

You all say read the guides and use the search feature.

Do you mean this out of date guide that is pinned in this section?

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=129059

Not ONLY is it out of date, but it's also geared towards the K1/K3 process.

The Philippines section of VJ is definitely helpful and needed after you get past the NOA2/NVC stages of immigration, diba? Because the NOA1/NOA2/NVC process is the same for K1/K3 and CR1/IR1 applicants no matter what country they are from. But once you get to dealing with the Embassy things are very specific to the country, diba? But as we all know things in immigration change. Things at the Embassy change.

I personally have spent hours upon hours that last few days looking through these threads for the latest and greatest information about the Medical Exam and Interview procedures/requirements for a CR1 applicant.

I have a nervous wife that is expecting me to find out everything this is needed/expected before she goes traveling to Manila to have her fun at SLEC and USEM.

Let me see, some things that have changed in the last year that aren't in a specific Philippines guide are...

-- Medical Exam costs $213 USD, but to be paid in Pesos.

-- No more document verification?

-- Delbros is no longer used for visa delivery, but AIR21 is now delivering visas. I still haven't seen in any post how much that delivery fee is.

Anyways, It would be nice to see some Pinned threads that have up to date information on Medical Exams and Interview process.

Maybe there could be a Pinned "Medical Exam Experience" thread and a Pinned "Interview Experience" thread.

And of course a Pinned "I received my visa today" thread.

Oh and BTW, why are there two Pinned threads that are essentially the same thing? "~Say Anything Thread~" and "~Off Topic Thread~". Things that make you go Hmmmmmm.

And I give a big congratulations to all the latest Medical Exam/Interview Passed and Visa Received applicants!

Thank you for sharing your experiences.

If I didn't have bad luck, I would have no luck at all!

"Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.

I AM HAPPY TO THOSE PEOPLE WHO'S VISA WAS GRANTED! (and envy them as well.....) and I am not against those people posting that their Visa was granted, that they recieved good news with their visa process.....

BUT....will it be better if you can just post topics that can help other people who are waiting and almost hopeless people waiting for their visas? or other topic that can be useful while waiting for the visa? (example: What are things you need to know? to prepare? to expect?..blah..blah!)

I know we are all happy for you...but will it make us feel better? I don't think so....coz as for my part it would make me feel more desperate to be with the Love of my Life...coz majority of the topic is "finally, received my visa", "have an interview schedule",blah blah....but what do they respond to them..."Congratulations!" that's it!

Again,I'm just stating what i feel....hate me..i dont care.....but can we just be more helpful and useful here to others who are desperately waiting for their visa approvals?

Hi everyone :) Ignore this topic na lang. Mariel has a new topic which is posted on IR-1/CR-1 Spouse Visa General Discussion. Wow, you missed my point.

I get your point and I agree the data has changed, but that doesn't eliminate the fact that asking specific questions is how we all learned "the real deal" about the process. It is more constructive to ask questions one might have than to post that there is too much congratulatory posts going on. And as far as the Air21 cost the reason the exact cost is not been posted is because it varies depending on delivery location in the PI and that was posted several times I saw in the last couple weeks. And actually it was in the posts people have been making recently about interview experiences and medicals as well. We all feel the stress of this process and with my recent situation that came up I am very saddened that i have another 2 months to wait for my interview but i still get hope and joy from others successes.

Thank you for understanding.....and NOT ARGUING with me...yeah,I know this is an OPEN FORUM, state what you feel...but why do people think that I am arguing with them? I'm not.....Yes I DO envy the people who got their visas..kindly read my post again..tell/show me if i write something that I don't like reading their posts? or i am having a crab mentality? I am happy for them..I am just stating my own opinion here.

VJ is a FAMILY?!(i dont think so...) maybe for some who understands. FAMILY stays together thru bad and good times, FAMILY dont leave your side when you're down and depressed...they even calm you down....

Please read my post VERY CAREFULLY before reacting so very mean thiings about me....you dont know what I feel coz you dont care......

FYI...i read other people's post about their visa and im happy for them...AGAIN AGAIIN AGAIN......i am just having my opinion. if i have to writte down over and over again....to let you people know what im trying to point out....I WILL!!!!

Mariel,

We understand what an OPINION is ok? so you stated your opinion FINE, all the replies you are getting are VJ members' opinion based on your opinion. So are you telling everyone that its ok for you to voice out your opinion and it's suddenly not ok if other people voice out theirs?
