What does adjudication mean?

On my timeline it states: Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between May 26, 2009 and June 6, 2009*.

What does "adjudicated" refer to? Does it mean I will receive my NOA2; does it mean NVC has passed it on to the consolate; does it mean the interview is finished; does it mean I have my visa in hand?

Thanks for your wisdom and patience.

They (USCIS) will look at your petition and "judge" if it passes muster.

If it's correct, they pass it on, if not, you either get RFE's or denial.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS
