I'm just shocked that obviously no feeling are involved here  And wondering what the poor 1st girl thinks, and how the 2nd one is supposed to feel?

Too many red flags?? Don't you think you should have known that had you spent enough time with her? A true relationship really doesn't happen in two months in an LDR. It should take a good couple of years, with lots of conversation in between!! But....that's just me...

It is natural first reaction BUT....

The FIRST "fiancee" is the lucky one, the SECOND is the loser. Um, all the "red flags" are waving over the petitioner's head.

I even had a USEM Manila Embassy Visa interview scheduled. I did call and cancel the Embassy interview. I sent (non-notarized) duplicate explanation letters to the USCIS, NVC and USEM . Since the K1 petition was already approved, cancellation is not applicable, right?

I think I met a better, more responsible Filipina, and will likely want to petition her instead. I will probably go visit her in Phils in 2 months. Too many red flags of a train wreck on the first girl, So I had to cut my losses with her and move on!

Will my previous K1 petition slow down the process of getting the NOA1 on a new petition? I do expect RFE initially for an IMBRA waiver, but beyond that, will my new petition be held up? Thanks for your input. I was reading the recent threads on cancelling K1 Petitions not yet approved, but since mine was approved for a girl I no longer want, I am unclear how this effects a new K1. Thank you for your responses. :D

i see a red flag but its not necessarily the same red flag the the OP saw.

the red flag i see is a "how about falling in love first" red flag. the reason that many of us that actually are in love and actually do want to get married have a hard time getting visas to do so is because some people seem to be using the system exactly like the original poster.

There is no place in the thread for personal attacks, you can not put all the faults of immigration on the OP because he changed his mind.

Keep your pesonal thoughts personal and dont post them here.

there must be a reason ...hmmmmmmmmm

it is exactly this type of situations that CLOG up the system and make the embassy's so suspicious.....would you have kept the petition for the

first girl if you wouldnt have met the next "better" one?.....sounds like maybe you should take this time to think so your next filing is what you

really want.......if you were so unhappy and she was so distrustful you should not have gone this far in the process and sounds like you were

looking for a replacement while waiting for the k1 to be approved..... ......

I briefly explained the facts in my letter as admitted to me by her and corroborated by her family. i I doubt the immigration authorities will even mark a red flag in her file. Im just afraid she will do this again to another unsuspecting man. I knew this lady for close to two years, and made multiple trips out to Phils and spent ample time with her and her family for Bdays and holidays. Then suddenly, she implodes and cant go thru with our plans, and takes off with several hundred dollars earmarked for embassy, and travel related expenses. I did consult with an immigration atty before sending the letters.

I appreciate all your replies, even the strong opinions and hurtful comments. The objective and direct answers to my sincere questions are even more appreciative. It is a sampling of honest opinion out here. Well, cupid does not have a time table, and sometimes love comes looking for us. I do know what I want in a lady, and when I see it, there is no reason to wait. My over trusting nature was taken advantage of by dishonest pinay. I am all the wiser and smarter from getting burned, so I go forth all the more confident, and humbled by the experience. I wont judge all pinays by one bad apple. It was better to find out her true treacherous character before bringing her to the states and marrying her!

well that sure explains the question i had good luck to u!

If you have nothing useful to contribute to this thread, then stop posting.

Personal opinions and commentary are not welcome.

Apparently, some members did not read/follow the Moderation guidance presented earlier.

Further insults, commentary and other non-immigration related comments will result in account suspensions.

Last warning.

Edit to add: this applies to edited posts, like the one above.

A reminder for those that apparently missed it. However, ignorance of the VJ terms of service (TOS) is not an excuse.

Not really as you describe. I was making extensive plans to bring her to my home and life and marry her. Then she took off right before embassy interview and made off with my money, and my heart! Imagine waiting all this time, and getting all the NOA1, NOA2, Medical Eval completed, Embassy interview set, and then....BAM, she's gone! It was the biggest disappointment of my life. She was the dishonest one. I wasnt wanting anyone else. I took almost 2 years to get to know her. In this day and age, I think that is more time than most people take to know each other. Thanks for your opinion, as harsh and judgemental as it is. God Bless you and your relationship.

Im not sure why you are saying this. I am the victim here of her dishonesty. I lost thousands of dollars and incurred the broken heart and huge disappointment. I do wish you a lifelong love and happiness in your visa journey.

and what about meeting a girl in real in CA? or other any states....i mean philip..something...we all know what it's all about. and you still go and chose a girl that you have never met in person in phili-cheap-a and you have never shared any thing, in real life..i mean, like any normal dating for a while to know abotu her/her life and taste and then time to fall in love for real...not fall in love for an ideal that you have built in yrou mind bc that online ###### stupid thing

i think that one time was not enough for you.

phili-scam is a red flag country anyway.

ok, after i stop replying and comment you...but gosh...

what do you expect from a girl that comes from over here????

i love stating the obvious, of course, they are in a country of the third world..and when i see all those differences of ages and looking and everything..for 90% of those couple I have doubt of the real love. i am sure that even those women think they are in love, but they are not. They are in love with the situation that the guy is promising her (better life, material etc..) not the guyt in himself.

I am sorry to say so, but i do believe so. most of american guys are fooling themselves by taking all that time and efforts and money to bring those girls over there.

I have come across yesterday, here, a pic of one ..that was ADMIRABLE  ..BAM! call me judgementalist, but that looks like more a cheap b***t that is happy tobe in america, but not someone in love who is willing to leave her culture, life, job, friend and family for Love's sake, but rather bc she can play the new little modern young woman (with a lack of taste....as a matter of fact seeing her poor choice for the clothe).

I think I met a better, more responsible Filipina, and will likely want to petition her instead. I will probably go visit her in Phils in 2 months. . . . . . I do expect RFE initially for an IMBRA waiver, but beyond that, will my new petition be held up? . . . . . . :D

I am not one to pick apart the things that others say, but there is something disturbing about what you described your plans to be. I totally understand termination the first relationship because of fraud. But you are already anticipating petitioning someone you apparently know very little about, and you are going through an IMBRA agent. That tells me there is a problem with this marriage broker, who may be taking advantage of what seems to be a sense of urgency on your part to find Ms Right. I recommend taking a break from the action and reassess the situation. I think your rapid fire petition plan will create some real red flags for the USCIS or the consulate.

I agree. Wait. Take your time for several reasons. The most important of these reasons is to not be burned twice and make sure that it is meant to be. My wife and I knew we had something special after only a few days together but didn't contemplate marriage until well over a year down the line and many long talks (and large phone bills - before we got skype) and many visits.

Another good reason to wait is because it WILL look suspicious to USCIS. Ask yourself this, is she worth the wait. If the answer is no then don't do it.
