Would it be possible to have another column for visa type? I would like to be able to see the statistics on others that file AOS from K-1 visas so I have a better idea for our timeline.

Cassi & Benny's Important Dates

11/9/08 - MARRIED *****
2/9/09 - EAD Received (78 days between NOA1 & receipt)

4/11/09 - Green Card Received (139 days between NOA1 & receipt)
5/21/11 - 10Y Green Card Received (127 days between NOA1 & receipt)

5/16/13 - Bought our house

I believe that all AOS applications process the same regardless of visa type (that the petitioner entered on). It is possible certain background checks may differ (if some had already been done) but other than that the timelines should be the same.

Maybe then some kind of distinction between AOS from a visa and the AOS to remove conditions?

Chief, this is VERY helpful. It's also interesting that NONE of the 118 Houston-local-office AOS applicants whose files were transferred to CSC have had to undergo an interview before a decision was made. Subtract the cases that are too new to have been decided, and it's still 100% no-interviews-for-transferees. If these data are reliable, there seems to be consistency in USCIS's actions.

Can you provide a global figure or percentage of how many CSC transferees have actually had to undergo an AOS interview before receiving a decision? Please cite the numbers (X of Y = %), and suggest limitations to the accuracy of the calculations (for example, X number of people failed to update their timelines). A zillion thanks, if you can do this.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Not sure what exactly you're looking for? Usually those AOS applications that get transfered to CSC are approved without interview. There are rare cases, in which a transfered to CSC application is kicked back to the local office and an interview is conducted, but the norm is that if your app. is transfered to CSC, it means approval without interview. Oh, and BTW, my husband's is one of those Houston-local-office AOS applications that was transfered to CSC, and guess what, approved without interview. :)

I worded things poorly above. I would like to see total VJ numbers/percentages on how many transferred-to-CSC applications received a decision-without-interview.

Have you tried this? Go to AOS timelines, leave the Local Office Filter on "All" and choose "Yes" for Show only Transfered Cases?

Just now, si man, and (after I clicked on the descending arrow in "Interview") it appears that 16 transferees (out of 797 pages' worth) underwent an interview. If the data are reliable, and if these figures are reliable as a predictor of future processes, there would seem a very high probability indeed that transferees would not be interviewed, si man. Can someone answer the "if" variables?
