I sent couple wire transfer to my fiance for all the fees that she has to pay for the interview. Should she present that in the interview as evidence? you know besides all photos, emails, phone records...

Thanks

There are mixed opinions regarding money transfers. In most cases, like Peru, it should not create a problem but at a higher fraud Consualte, you helping to support your fiance may be viewed as a red flag.

If you have enough supporting evidence then I would not include it.

Depends on how much was in the transfer, if enough for visa fees, medical fee, can be fine.

However if a large sum, this can be tricky, it can look like "buying a bride".

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

IMO, it almost never helps and actually CAN hurt. I'd leave it out.

I sent my husband some money too to help him with the medical exam. We didn't present it as evidence and his visa was approved with no problem. My gut told me to leave it out, so I guess it's really up to you and how you feel.

Good luck! :)

I'd recommend NOT showing this as proof because of the reasons listed above. You say she has "photos, emails, phone records...", so leave it out. Good luck on the interview!

Questions about bona fides generally don't center around the US Citizen's genuine intentions. As such, sending money doesn't help but it can raise questions about whether the intending immigrants intentions are genuine or about money. When a child is involved, the US Citizen's filing of the Consular Report of Birth Abroad is far more evidence of their genuine intentions than money transfers could ever be.

we cant do a consular report of birth, becouse our baby born before my fiance become a USC , but we have a relationship for more than 7 years and we have photos, e-mails, and tickets for the 13 travels to Guatemala, so i really hope everything its ok by the interview!! :innocent:

13 trips and a child pretty much trumps other issues when it comes to showing a bona fide relationship.

Hey Jokalu I am in your same situation, we have a 9 years relationship, and in one of my trips got pregnant, then I gave birth here in the USA, then I became a citizen and applied to bring him in, so I guess the pics and the baby's birth certificate with his last name should be proof enough.

I am not taking proof of the money I sent him because I think its kind of humiliating, the consular officers are so "special" that they might take it the wrong way. They don't undersatnd that in our third world countries most people struggle to survive. Don't matter if they are male, I think that is harder for males to find a job.

Our Timeline:

11/1999 - We met in Ecuador

02/05/00 - Relationship started

09/08/06 - Engaged & Pregnant!

03/13/08 - I filed for Citizenship

08/02/08 - I-129F sent

08/13/08 - Case received by VSC

08/16/08 - NOA1

08/18/08 - Touched

if you are relying on monet transfers to be the definitive piece of evidence to prove a bonafide relationship then you will have problems.... other evidence is or should be so much more convincing and should be more heavily relied upon than money transfers

YMMV
