HI, I am new here,,,,I paid an attorney in the states a pretty good sum of money last year in january to file a CR-1 visa for my wife, the last contact i had with them was october,at that point they were supposed to file the CR-1,I tried calling and emailing for a month or so now to check the status and keep getting the run around and blown off and no replies,,,so how can i check and see if they actually filed one without a case number etc,and also what can i do about it ? should i fire them and do it myself>? thanks

Ouch, I would knock on his door if that is possible. Otherwise without your NOA 1 , you cant even folllow your progress with USCIS.

Did you write a check for the lawyer fo rthe filing fee? If so, see if it was cashed by USCIS. That will show atleast he filed for you.

Good luck!

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

TRy calling the USCIS info number. Maybe able to get the info without a NOA1 number. Won't hurt to try.

Your senator or congressman can find out.

If u know where his office is, U should go there and confront him.

Its way overdue. u can fire them but u gotta know 1st that if they really even filed ur case.If not, u should file it urself.

u really need to find out if they have received the NOA 1 .

Good Luck
