Seems like the service centers on k1 visas are doing some sort of restructuring. For example Vermont VSC is showing 3+ months now. Texas TSC seem to shut k1 petitions all together. Nebraska, NSC if forwarding k1's to California, and CSC is showing 5 months, or 5 months from now until NOA2.

:star: Hopefully there are some USCIS workers or lawyers who can shine some light on what happening in there.

Looks to me like you may not of been reading the board much ;) Would pay to, so as you can easily see what IS happening/causing the long delays.

The IMBRA which came into effect on March 6 now requires additional information from the USC petitioner. USCIS/DHS were not prepared for its introduction hence many approved petitions already at consulates were returned, plus all those that filed March 6 and after have been waiting on an RFE so their petitions would be compliant with the IMBRA. USCIS has only just now released a new I-129F which contains the additional questions...and are only just now starting to isse RFE's to those already filed with the old form. Thats basically it in a nut shell.

There is shortly going to be a temporary IMBRA forum so that all the relevant IMBRA facts and threads will be contained which will make it easier, especially for those just now coming across this, to understand.

Wishing you all the best.

Didn't know that this had anything to do with what service center that handles your case.

I hear a lot complaining about cases being sent back to NVC. Im in Illinois and cases are handled at CSC (the slowest of all) and VSC that had approved in 20-30 days is taking 4x longer.

The recalled petitions from consulates were rerouted back to the service centers of origin via NVC. Other then that NVC has nothing to do with the returned petitions.

IMBRA has affected all petitions that were submitted to service centers March 6 and after. Hence the slowdown as none of these petions were being approved, and they wont even begin to process them until they receive the additional information via RFE's to all those who have a petition using the old I-129F and submitted since March 6.
