I really really want to call in sick today. Yesterday I felt like ####### but it was my 1 year anniv at this job and hadn't called in sick once all year. Guess there's no point in starting now.

Thanks! It's a sickness really. I rarely if ever call in cause the guilt eats me a live. I have over 420 hours of sick time, you'd think I'd use it! Course, that is over the 12+ years I've been with the company, not in the one year in this dept

Just had one week of vaca in sunny AZ and I'm thinking I need more time off! Can't wait till hubby gets here and I can take 3 weeks off (yes, another sickness. I have over 350 hours of that)

Well, that would be a good reason. So, would you supplement that sick time on top of your short term disability? Like supplement the other percentage and then get paid more weeks off? When I had Malek I had a c-section and instead of coming back to work and getting socked with my unpaid insurance premium I supplemented my 4 weeks of vacation I had saved up throughout my 8 weeks off. I did end up with 1.5 more weeks due to complications that I was able to take off and I didn't really suffer at all because I missed none of my pay.
