My NOA was dated 12-26-08. I got my Bio's done on 1-21-06...but I have not heard of them again. I know they should be writting soon, but we have not recieved any RFE's or any touches on our case numbers since the bio's. .I am growing impatient because i need to renew my license, and want to apply to jobs specific to my major. It takes time and the companies willing to take me will not even look at my resume without EAD (ok not to give me the job, that is the law. But how about giving it a look and calling me later?). First time since my freshman year that I do not have my own income, it feels very strange and I cannot wait to help hubby pay for the credit cards and student loan  .

How long should I wait before calling or getting more worried?:unsure:

funny thing, the EAD had been sitting at home for 10 days. Hubby tought that since it was an unmarked envelope with a hard card on it, it must be acredit card offer. So yesterday I got interested in the whole thing (with the economy so crappy, who wants to give an F1 a credit card?), opened the envelope and there it was. My own picture facing me! I was getting worried because the interview appointment had arrived before the EAD, usually it was backwards. I came to the US as a student in 2003, they gave me a SSN. Do I have to reapply? Why?

No, your SS number is still good (once you get it it's your for life) - you just need to go to SSA office to update the status and get the unrestricted SS card.

Good luck job hunting!
