HAHA thanks, actually after sending my last post..I googled and emailed the consulate in Mumbai. I'll let you know what I find out.

I just received an email from NVC regarding the (AOS FEE LTR ONLINE ONLY).. I noticed that my name ANN is not correct. It should be ANNE.

How can i inform the NVC about this? And regarding the DS3032 form, i will print this out and signed it and send it immediately. But regarding the email, is it ok if i will use the DS3032 Form even there's no barcode in it? I was trying to edit it but its not working...

If you can see my timeline, I sent both email and hard copy. But when I called NVC yesterday, it seems like they've only received it the day before (on Tuesday). So I am not 100% sure if email worked or not since I sent it on Saturday.

What I did is, my husband had already sent a signed/undated DS3032 form to me. So I printed out email, cut the barcode part (with NVC #), and glued it to the form that my husband had sent. Again, I am not sure if this works or not since they've not yet processed our DS-3032.

Congratz jiskat...I recommend calling the NVC and talk to a live operator and explain the name problem. Make sure everything is ok to proceed. I think you should wait until the AOS is shown as paid in order to send anything.

Yah, my husband sent all that to me on Tuesday, I expect it to get here on Saturday or Monday... That's why I was wishfully hoping for IV bill generation so no time is wasted ;)

I just had my wife print the DS-3032 from the email, sign it in blue ink and then scan and email it back to me. i'll print it out on a color laser and send it off today. I hope this works...

I've read somewhere on threads that this works. Email definitely takes 10 days to get accepted. I'm glad we all are making lil progress :D

I am sorry to hear about this Jiskat :( Did you ask if you could email these things? Also, what about the name in NOA1 and NOA2? Is it a spelling mistake on all forms or just this one? Maybe you should open a new thread for this. I am sure you're not the first one to run into this type of issue and other VJ members will have good ideas and suggestion...

Champi..did you get a reply to your email? I got a very generic message saying the consulate will check your 2007 and 2008 tax returns. But no specific answers.

No answer at all. In fact, I wrote another email about PCC last night and I got reply back for that one this morning. But not for the first one I sent about tax returns. I'll again try next week or something. Right now, we're just hoping consulate will accept PCC of passport office from Bangalore even though my husbands passport was made in Surat, Gujarat. Sent them a reply back to their email asking if it would be acceptable. I hope to hear soon...

How many years did your husband live in Gujurat? What I heard is if you stay in a place more then 6 months..you need a PCC from there...did you make a post in VJ about this?

No answer at all. In fact, I wrote another email about PCC last night and I got reply back for that one this morning. But not for the first one I sent about tax returns. I'll again try next week or something. Right now, we're just hoping consulate will accept PCC of passport office from Bangalore even though my husbands passport was made in Surat, Gujarat. Sent them a reply back to their email asking if it would be acceptable. I hope to hear soon...

Champi..did you get a reply to your email? I got a very generic message saying the consulate will check your 2007 and 2008 tax returns. But no specific answers.

i am now worried about my second name ANN which should be ANNE... I called the NVC and i told them to correct it - the operator said that i need to submit a proof that my correct name is ANNE...... GGRRR!!

So i have to submit a copy of my passport grrrrr.!!!! It is their fault not mine! :angry:

I am sorry to hear about this Jiskat :( Did you ask if you could email these things? Also, what about the name in NOA1 and NOA2? Is it a spelling mistake on all forms or just this one? Maybe you should open a new thread for this. I am sure you're not the first one to run into this type of issue and other VJ members will have good ideas and suggestion...

My husband lived in Gujarat from his birth till age 22 or 23. Then he moved to Bangalore. Yep, I did post the question. The issue is, even within India, every place has different requirements of PCC and stuff. Thus, everyone has different answers.

Initially, we thought my husband needed to get police PCC from 3 different places since he lived more than 6 months on those 3 different places (2 within Gujarat and Bangalore). But Chennai Consulate said in the email, he only needs police PCC from present resident.

Similarly, guidelines say that he needsPCC from Passport office. But it doesn't say anywhere that he needs it from the same passport office that issued his passport. Here are the links both from NVC and from Chennai consulate.

So we just got his PCC from passport office in Bangalore. Bangalore passport office would issue a PCC as long as you can provide proof of residency for 2 years (http://rpobangalore.gov.in/frm_pcc.asp). My husband has been living there since 2005. Now we're trying to confirm from Chennai Consulate that his PCC from Bangalore passport office will be valid or he needs to get one from Gujarat. I figured, it is best to get answers from Consulate, that way we get written proof of their responses which you can take to interview as well :)
